Now I understand that you are starting your own company and that you are excited about that. Good for you. I hope you will be very successful. I also understand that you are eager to grasp every opportunity to plug your new company. I am beginning to get annoyed by that and I am far from sure that this is the correct way and place to do it. I am certain that there are other, more appropriate channels to accomplish that. But whatever and wherever you decide to do what you have to do, please spare us this kind of idiotic hyperbole until the product is finished and the consumer can judge for himself.

I assure you I harbor no ill feelings towards you and in fact, I admit that I have seen you in many powerful perfomances for other directors. That fact makes me curious about your own work as a director. It is just that I am sick of seeing this style of Barnum publicity.

One last piece of friendly advice (as if you need any): don't go to "the next level" if it isn't the right level for you personally. Truly make the kind of porn you want to see, don't make the kind of porn just to outdo the competition.

Furthermore, there was no appraisal in my post of his work as a director, because, as I had written, I haven't seen any of his work. I only pointed out these 3 things:

1) I am sick of these kind of plugs (I certainly realize that Brandon is not the only one who does this, and he may not even be the worst)

2) If you want to make good pornography, look at yourself; don't make it for the critics and don't make it just to outdo the competition

3) I found the specific use of hyperbole in this plug extremely idiotic. I say it again: "The only thing good pornography should do, is arouse." I am sure there are many different ways in which pornography can arouse. If Brandon's style of movies does it for you, than I agree that Brandon's pornography is good, for you. But it is only good because it arouses you, not because it "offends and causes debate".

btw, the fact that you stated that your love for what you do, is the cause of you being bombastic and defensive, is both understandable and very much appreciated. I can understand the bombast and the defensiveness as a part of your great passion. And I can appreciate your love for your job because I know it will be a guarantee for a better product.

I have to say that your post has made me even more curious about your work as a director. I have asked this question to Steve Holmes before, but I would like to repeat it here. Please get a European (preferrably not German or French, because they usually butcher movies: different titles, idiotic dubbing, sometimes extremely bad NTSC to PAL conversion, and, worst of all, "editorial edits") distributor for Platinum X Pictures, so I can enjoy them as well.
