It's that time of year again when as well as looking forward with anticipation to all that 2015 has to offer we also take a moment to look back at the previous twelve months. The best, the worst, the disappointments and the highlights. So with that in mind, I decided that the best way to sum up a year in porn was to give out my own awards.
A health warning before I begin. Please note that, unlike those reviewing Gods, Astroknight and BonoOne, I only get to see about twenty movies a year and these tend to be almost exclusively gonzo with the majority being anal titles. My awards are therefore skewed somewhat by this small and specialised sample, although generally, I have seen films from all the major gonzo studios. The release date of a few titles may also be 2013 as these are all films that I have watched over the last 12 months.

MOVIE OF THE YEAR

3. Sweet Petite William H JJV
The above films all received five stars and could probably be in any order. What I would say is that the quality of films this year, particularly for the anal enthusiast, has been exceptional.
BEST DIRECTOR
1. William H
2. Mason
3. Jules Jordan
Jules Jordan is still a genius in my book but his output hasn't been enough to challenge for the crown this year. Both William H and Mason have delivered some gems this year and have a canny ability to get genuine, passionate performances from their casts. With these two pairing up for 2015, Hard X may just be unstoppable.
BEST NEW STARLET

2. Keisha Grey
3. Carter Cruise
2014 has been a golden year for fresh talent and so this was a hard category to narrow down. With that in mind, honourable mentions have to also go to the likes of Jodi Taylor and Dakota Skye.
Slut Puppies 8 showcased both Keisha and Jillian but Jillian has since gone on to star in a number of anal movies while we still await the magic moment when Miss Grey does the dirty deed.

Zoey was an easy choice as she has appeared in over half of the films I have reviewed this year. There isn't much of her but she always gives 100% and has also become the undisputed Queen of DP s in 2014. A honourable mention also has to go to Mia Malkova in a year when she has lost her anal cherry. I just haven't seen enough of her work this year, although that should change now that she is exclusive to Hard X.
