Elsewhere, I've raised the question as to whether we watch the porn that we want or we watch what's produced because it's the only way we can see women we like doing things we'd like to watch them do. I'm decidedly on the side of the former position.
To take this one step further, I'd like to post my own suggestions about things I've seen that I found erotic or interesting, or things I'd like to see. Some I've mentioned in other threads; others may have been picked up from others.
For what they're worth:
1) Someone needs to do Amateur Allure one better. The girls usually range from pretty to beautiful, and they're dressed and made up in a way that enables you to believe they might actually be coeds, retail workers, waitresses, etc. The complaints have been catalogued in other threads. Someone who addresses those complaints while maintaining the aura that the girls present could do well, MHO. The FTVX.com site may be the answer. We'll see.
2) Bring back Starbangers. Find girls who don't typically do mutiple-male-partner scenes and get them to do a gangbang. Make it their fantasy, not just a bunch of mopes waiting to get off. Think what potential a one-time gangbang with Charmane Star or Stefanie Renee (yeah, I know she's retired) or Sunny Lane or Penny Flame would have. Instant classics. I know some girls I'd like to see wouldn't be interested, but I'm sure there are some who'd do it for the right price and under the right conditions.
3) Jenna Haze did a scene several years ago where she met her man as he came home from a long, hard day at work. She was dressed in a simple yet elegant dress, had candles burning, poured him a drink, then proceeded to alleviate his day's stress by giving him one of her world-class blowjobs. It's the only scene like that I've ever seen.
4) Many years ago, Mike South and some friend were in a Bennigan's when a girl in a nearby booth became interested in their conversation. Within an hour or so, unknown to her fiance, she was before Mike's camera, doing her first and, I believe, only porno shoot. I still get aroused thinking of something like that. If someone could pull off something like that consistently -- and believably, because there's so much fake-recruitment in porn these days -- I'd snap it up.
5) For girls that actually have day jobs or are students, it'd be really erotic to begin the scene as they're getting off from work or leaving school, reinforcing the idea that the girls were "real," at least for this scene.
6) I've remarked before on how I found a scene with Gina Ryder getting fucked in a bar in front of a crowd to be erotic. I've since scene the scene again, and I noticed it wasn't as hot as I remembered it. Based on the way it was edited, it appears as if the few crowd shots weren't done while the sex was occurring, and it's quite likely that the fucking happened in front of far fewer people than the director intended us to believe. But I still believe in the potential of scenes involving sex in front of an audience. The drunken-frat-party type of audience and camera work of the videos involving them doesn't do much for me. But it would be fun to see girls getting fucked in front of an audience, even if it was only some people watching through the window from the hallway outside the room where BangBros shoot some of their girls. The more the audience looks like real people and less like drunk college students or parolees, the better.
7) Believable spontaneity or something unexpected is hot when it happens, which is seldom. Here are a few examples: Rachel Roxxx did a Tugjobs scene where she was doing the "stripper slide" on a guy's dick and slid it up into her pussy. That was highly erotic, because it doesn't happen often in handjob videos and thus was unexpected, and because, as someone who's been to several massage studios and wanted so badly for something like that to happen, it was the next best thing to having the fantasy fulfilled.
Nadia Moore did a scene once where she fucked somebody, then brought the cameraman over and gave him a blowjob. I think Tara Patrick did the same thing once, too. And Natasha Dolling, while getting fucked, motioned the cameraman over and started sucking him off in a scene. Each of these scenes was erotic because what I saw was both unexpected and believable.
8) I'd really like to see fewer scenes where the girl looks like a hungry guppy while the guy jacks off into her mouth or onto her face and more like the Julia Ann cumshot here. Let the girl bring the guy off with her mouth!
9) The sex appeal of women getting fucked in hose is vastly underestimated by American producers.
10) Producers should spend some time watching Japanese videos, particularly those from IdeaPocket and S1. Yeah, the mosaic sucks, but ignore that for the moment and look for ideas for attire, surroundings, atmosphere, etc. I think there's a lot of potential there.
U.S. porn doesn't have to exist in the rut that some of us see it in. All it takes is a little imagination.
