The cops will tell you it's a civil matter, which it is. If you try to get an attorney to take your case, the attorney will probably tell you without an executed contract (signed by both your wife and the producers), there's no way you'll get any settlement. Sounds like those assholes really took advantage of her. That's really a shame that there are evil people like that in the world. I would recommend that you both drop this whole matter and move forward from this unfortunate incident. Don't try to contact those people any more. At this point, they have no reason to give you any money because there's nothing that you can do to them that they are worried about. Even if you were the vigilante type, do you even know how to find them? And even if you know where to find them, please don't for even a minute think that there's anything you could do to get your payment if you showed up at their doorstep. These people took advantage of a pregnant woman. They are immoral. They certainly won't be moved by sympathy, and unless you have an army of thugs at your command, they won't be moved by threats. You don't really have any legal remedies available to you. And if you tried to get justice outside the law, you'd probably end up injured or dead. Put this ugly mess behind you. Have your wife get tested for STDs then both of you should try to forget it ever happened. Your child needs a healthy and happy mom and dad, so move past it as quickly as you can. [Link]

While I personally think it is fine for mothers to be in adult industry, I personally don't like them doing it while pregnant and it sends a strange message if your children find out. Don't ever consider adult industry again while she is pregnant and also while having issues with her mental health (this is a big one. Porn is a tough business and a woman needs to be strong and clear of mind or she will be taken advantage just like you have learned). For every porn star who has their career and family life in a great place, there are plenty of women like your wife who are not ready for the industry or not in the mental shape to avoid being seriously taken advantage of. They make bullshit excuses and try to bully the girl into doing the scene and getting paid later. In this story the girl was bullied and intimidated and taken advantage of. And are you some investigative reporter? Maybe he'll shudder, and reflect upon the relative "positive" outcome. As a result, maybe he'll be a better parent, his wife more wary of those who offer a quick-buck scheme and they can put this behind them and write the loss of money off as tuition in life.
