That was my first time hearing of this silent illness. I've been suffering from Endometriosis ever since; as well as severe Fibromyalgia Flares . Now at age 24, with countless children lost due to these silent killers and 7 Surgeries later.. I still continue to fight these silent illnesses. Years of RLS, Headaches, Migraines, Pelvic pain, back pain, joint/muscle pain/weakness, severe fatigue, Anxiety, muscle jerks, shakiness, foot/ankle pain, neck pain, ectopic tubal rupture, ovary removal and miscarriage. Since I first learned about these diseases in 2009 these issues have become much worse. Some days I feel helpless because I can't walk, I can't work, I can't play with my 4 year old son that god just so happened to bless me with, I can hardly get out of bed when I try. I fight and fight, yet nothing helps and there's no cure. I'm always in recovery. Healing from surgical incisions and flare ups; trying to figure how how to cope, control and get through my every day. I pray often for the Lord to take my sicknesses away. When you're a single mother and you are all your son has; it's a very helpless feeling to know that you can't do anything to get better. I can't seem to get back to work before the next surgery comes, the hospital and medical bills pile up; you're household income is no more and you have utility bills, car payments, car insurance, phone bills, medical expenses, child care expenses, motherhood expenses that pile up and you don't seem to get better in time for it to all be possible. It's the most overwhelming feeling in the world to know that. It's been a long hard battle and I will continue to fight for my son, my own sake and anyone else out there who are fighting similar if not worse illnesses. You are not alone.
