Does Anyone else have a problem with many of today's pornstars being too vocal in their scenes? Stars like Lana Rhoades and Riley Reid instantly come to mind; both hotties who regularly perform in edgy gonzo scenes; However they manage to turn me off in many of their scenes by amping up the dirty talk and moaning too much.
I like the dirty talk and moaning. The more and better to me. I understand the seen should be real and genuine and who is to say that its not. I personally would like for someone to talk dirty and moan too much than for someone who doesnt act like they want to be there because they barely do or say anything. Its about how close of either end of the spectrum you prefer.
Over-the-top unbelievable screaming and moaning has always(as far as i remember) been a thing. I dont really know how bad it is now though. I think a lot "new" porn is weak.
I always relate pornstars to actors in a movie. I would rather them overact and be over the top then for them to be a fucking corpse in a casket with no emotions. Dirty talking is something I love. Diamond Jackson dirty talks and amps it up a lot in her scene. Sometimes she is spot on with it and sometimes she overacts but I rather her do the latter then for her to be lifeless. To me it isn't that a lot of pornstars overact in scenes nowadays it is that it is the exact opposite. Most of them (especially the younger ones) are emotionless and that is one of the reasons I gravitate to middle aged women.
Never had an issue with Riley Reid's scenes. Always seemed genuine.

Everyone wants a lively girl in bed, and thats what makes Lana and Riley so popular. I actually wish they were even more vocal, I hate scenes where I can hear the guy. Additionally its porn, its not supposed to be real, over the top acting is what makes it fun.
I don't know that it is a particular issue with "today's" performers, but I am interested in what differences you observe versus another time period? Agree with the other comment about tastes going one way or another. I like both. I'll say though, in my observation that a loud and dirty-talking kind of performance is excellent when done well but can too easily fall flat. Some performers elevate it to an art form.
Guess I'm alone on this one then lol For me, these girls just take it a bit too far. I keep finding myself thinking "just shut the fuck up" during their scenes. It would be no different if I was shagging a girl who was this hyper vocal.
^You may be alone on the two women you named but not necessarily on the subject itself. Part of the problem with your first post is that while those two women are both for the most part primarily gonzo porn performers. That is about where it ends in the comparison department because Riley has been doing porn for about 7 years and shot for probably every possible studio and it wasn't always gonzo porn. Lana on the other hand has only been doing porn more or less for a year and except for being very popular. She will never be in the same category as Riley. There are plenty of performers that in one scene or another who I find go over the top in their performance but often it's a question of taste rather than anything they have done themselves. I'd also point out that maybe the problem has less to do with the women in front of the camera and more to do with the person(s) behind it who don't correct those things.
I remember photos of her during her prime- when she was hot. However, I have not seen any of her movies. From memory, she only performed boy/girl when she was well past her prime- correct me if I am wrong.

^ That's not true. She was doing b/g from the beginning. I can't say it was her first movie but one of her early ones that I saw was "The Barlow Affair". She had two scenes in that one. I don't have any of her earlier movies but on-line reviews say Teri Weigel looks most like her Playboy appearance in her flicks from 1991. PSNBN already mentioned The Barlow Affairs and there's one called Inferno, maybe a few others. The screaming and the moaning is a given. tb
