Need some help here. My new computer will NOT open ADT. Every time I put the url in the bar or click a link to an ADT page, my computer gives the "internet explorer cannot display the webpage." message I thought ADT was dead or something! I can still look on the old computer here. But I don't know what's up with this brand new one. I can access other porn sites. I am definitely connected to the internet. There is no typing error in the address. I'm on a PC with Vista. Someone tell me what the deuce is happening, please. This is the only website, porn or otherwise, I've run into this problem with. Also, I've been away from ADT for a while. Have you guys officially incorporated online porn into this mix yet? I still really trust ADT, but don't readily see if you have included streaming and download site reviews yet.

Asking how you managed to post this or how you may view the answers kind of begs the question. But I will try and offer you some direction. Your problem is not the computer, but probably your browser. Check the settings under tools-> options. Take a look at tabs for content, security or privacy. Compare the settings, if you still have the old computer, to determine differences and change them accordingly. You did not mention what version of Windows that you have and what version of IE that you are using. This is important info in diagnosing the problem. With Windows XP and I assume Vista, Microsoft ships a personal fire wall, that is turned on, which also could be a source of your problem. I might add that you should give the PC's vendor a call and ask what's going on. If it is brand new, they should not charge you for the call. Hope this helps. She said her old computer still can view here, so I assume she is using that to post and to view the responses and she states that she has Vista. I've had moments where I can't connect here and there, mostly at night, when I get the message that she is getting. However it usually clears up within a few seconds to an hour.

There is Vista Home edition and Vista Professional. And then there is the issue of maintenance packs.
can you help me with a little more specificity? I've never had a website just full on blocked as if the website were down. I've visited a thousand pages since I bought the computer, why is my computer denying the existence of only ADT? It's IE7, Vista Home.
I suggest you download another browser, either FireFox or Opera, install it and check if ADT works from there. If it does, then there may be something wrong with IE or its settings; if it doesn't, then the problem originates from somewhere else. I believe this may just narrow things down a bit.
Here's something to check. Tools Menu -> Internet Options -> Advanced Tab. Scroll down to see if "Show Friendly HTTP Error Messages" is checked in the Browsing section. Un-check it if it's checked. This setting tells IE to not show the actual error messages. Basically something along the lines of "there's a problem with this site that's preventing us from displaying the page." Do you access our site via http:// or https://. You'll have problems with https://www.adultdvdtalk.com. Your browser will snivel about the SSL certificate. (It's for https://adultdvdtalk.com) Can you post the exact error your are seeing after making sure friendly HTTP error messages is disabled?

I unchecked friendly error msgs and it still gave the same error message: Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

Do you know how to open a command prompt? If you do can you type "tracert www.adultdvdtalk.com" and email me the results or post them here? What is the exact URL of the page that you are trying to access? copy/paste it here.
Also, the error message should change. Can you verify that the friendly error messages is indeed disabled? What kind of computer is this? Did it come with a Norton product pre-installed? Can you try to visit the site at http://www.adultdvdtalk.com and also http://adultdvdtalk.com ? I'm going to look through the server logs for your IP address to see if I can learn anything.
Using your new computer can you go to the website whatismyip.com and email me the IP address. Your new computer must have a different IP than the one you're using to post here. All of the accesses from your IP address use Firefox.
