I haven't seen the original so I didn't have anything to base my opinion on other than this movie. I knew Jenna was the "devil" and that was about it,lol. But I was very impressed with Savanna Samson who plays Miss Jones in this. I mean this woman had to display some acting ability to convincingly portray this character and I really thought she pulled it off beautifully. The best sex scenes for this movie also featured Savanna I thought with her poolside fuck being my top choice follwed by her tryst with Jenna but that one comes right before the big revealing to Savanna by Jenna's character. It was my first full feature movie that I actually watched all the way through and it was due to Savanna's performance. She seems so confused through the whole movie about what was going on and what was reality in this movie I never fully got a grasp on. I think once we get the big reveal by Jenna to Savanna then the story kinda came into place for me but repeated viewings would help me I think. So I'm curious as to what others will think so I started this thread. I should mention Georgina Spelvin makes a couple cameos in this and she was the original Miss Jones. Paul Thomas undertook this movie and he's got some interesting comments in the bts about being initially unsure if Savanna could do this because she was so openly sexual but he came away utterly impressed with her job and I suspect she'll get a nom for Best Actress at this years AVN's and it will be fully deserved from what I saw. Jenna also came away impressed with Savanna. This won't swing me over to features but I came away very impressed with Savanna Samson and I didn't go into watching this with any expectations along those lines so in that respect it was a very worthy rental for me. I should add I hadn't seen Savanna much if at all before this as I don't normally watch Vivid but she was very good both acting and fucking, would love to see her take on Manuel or Steve Holmes, maybe she has in her Vivid work and someone can point those scenes out to me. It wasn't a lack of anything except as Zoid said it took too long to be released. I mean it could have gone against the grain like the original and cast people completely against what they've been seen in the past, but (I'm getting ready to duck here) they relied solely on the fact that Jenna Jameson was in it to push a winner. To me it has the same effect as many of her films, as well as a certain Evil Angel film that is FINALLY getting released, which one of the fans here has been screaming about since I got on this forum. If you wait too long you will lose many people who wanted to see it and held a geninue interest as opposed to those who just wanted the typical eye-candy flick. Lets not even mention the fact that it was one of the more pivotal adult films of all-time. I mean no matter who starred in it this remake could be compared to one of Behind the Green Door . Does anyone here believe a remake of that film wouldn't sink as fast as Britney Spears' last albumn? It is NOT as easy as casting a high profile star in a film that will get it done when more than a third of those on this forum have seen the original and no matter their age enjoyed the hell out of it! Devil In Miss Jones 2 is a really good couples movie. Gregory Dark made the next 2 movies in a raunchy way. The Vanessa del Rio gangbang scene was a highlight. I like that each movie did something different and didn't just repeat itself.
