I saw one review that rated a movie A in all groups but the review mentioned how bad it was in some of those areas. Other times, the rating groups are ignored all together. Here's one: I saw this on almost 12 reviews I checked out... The alternative: Is just as bad. I'm not a professional reviewer and I don't review 8+ movies a day like some of their people have but I'd rather hear a few comments about the quality of the production instead of a blow by blow description of the dvd. I prefer buying based on a more generalized review only because I'd rather watch it for myself. For the record, I watch "every second of every dvd" I review as well. The most important details, for me, in a review are the quality details. I could copy the screenplay down and present it as a review but it wouldn't tell me if all the elements came together as a whole. Reviews based at least partially on technical aspects are much more objective-as are ones that almost totally copy down the action. Maybe a happy medium is best-I can't speak for anyone but myself. Don't get me wrong, I think your site is very good at providing super detailed outlines and will let others who desire that type of thing know where to go. Your grading system, when used, is just as valid as the ADT system too. I know I'll give you a chance to fix the minor stuff and I'm sure others will too. ;) [Link] |
