wannabe badass, whatever. confused youth, whatever. that someone would even consider it comes from a place i cannot relate to nor accept. this stuff is personal for me

the neo-Nazi groups are full of confused, uneducated kids looking for something to belong to. that doesn't make me feel any kind of sympathy for them. dumb kids can do a lot of damage

the thing i want from "reformed" neo-Nazis is full transparency and renunciation of their past. i need to hear them say straight up they got into bad things, they were mistaken, they regret it, they think it's bullshit.

but in my experience many with those kinds of histories at least in the punk and hardcore scene aren't willing to do that. there remain streaks of racism, anti-Semitism and xenophobia in their thinking even when they drop the props

punks are mostly left leaning if anything they are anti-nationalistic and certainly anti neo nazism.

I had a shaved head in my youth but i was a typical punk which means the militaristic nationalism sprouted by nazi's is the polar opposite to what i believed.

there is a long history of neo-Nazi punk and hardcore bands, that's one of the main ways those racist groups suck in the kids. i could make a bunch of links to neo-Nazi record labels right now if i wanted to

the whole history of Oi! and skinhead music is rooted in the punk scene. i mean it goes back 30 years

you are not going to run into neo-Nazis in the techno and hip-hop scenes. but hang out in punk and hardcore and you eventually will see those elements

yes, gang violence DOES have a long history in the hip-hop scene. just like neo-Nazism DOES have a long history in the punk and hardcore scene.

if you hang out in hip-hop long enough, you will encounter the gang element.

if someone has a swastika tattoo that is cause of concern and shows contact with neo-Nazi elements

my second point was that if someone regrets their tattoo and is not a neo-Nazi they need to be clear about their renunciation of that

however in my experience that is often not the case

Then I shot her with Hung Lo, my Asian P.A., with the swastika because without the angle, it means Peace in Chinese, I believe. I may have the only scene with the swastika on and am keeping it for myself when I launch the site.

She's a real sweet girl, perhaps did some foolish things in the past, but as sweet a girl as I've ever met. Definitely not a racist, just did something dumb when she was young.
