roookie2224 Member 416 Posts 9/06	Posted - May 8 2021 : 9:31AM I made a recent purchase for the title, Ass Trained By An Older Guy 4 (Perv City), which was just recently released in April. I found it was burned on a DVD-R. I have purchased titles from Perv City where they all have been factory-pressed. I prefer factory-pressed since they last longer than DVD-R. Had I known they were producing the DVDs on DVD-R, I would have not made the purchase. I know some older titles or OOP titles are now produced on DVD-Rs, but should there be a warning for newer releases for DVDs to let buyers know whether the DVD is produced on DVD-R or are factory-pressed? I hope Perv City would go back to the old fashion of factory-press. [Link]

It is beyond cheap to do DVD-R's versus the pressed DVD's and I wish someone could explain exactly how much money is saved doing it that way versus the better product version aka silver pressed DVDs. It reminds me of the sellers who mail you a 4oz DVD package and do it using media mail as opposed to 1st class which until recently was actually cheaper and faster than media mail. Perv City should just stop making them as many buyers and sellers like me will never buy or sell a DVD-R because they are crap. You can do that at home just as good. Now larger retailers are selling everything DVD-R and saying they can because no one has the rights to the older titles or worse they state that they have permission to sell what is a "bootleg quality" version of titles from Brazzers, Dog Fart to name just 2 I have seen and gotten from longtime wholesalers. First I think that's crap and don't believe them and secondly they know the companies are obsessed with streaming and don't care. I would really like to have a list of companies who have officially gone to DVD-R's as that would help inform most who do still buy DVD's so as to illuminate who is putting out junk and allow the buyer to begin officially not buying their product anymore with the expectation that they are paying for a real pressed DVD. If I am streaming and I am promised 1080P then something that is not would make someone mad and allow them to not buy that anymore. It should be that way for DVDs. [Link]

I was looking at some Dog Fart titles which were selling for $90-$100 but you don't know if it's DVD-R or not. Click to expand The only thing I have been able to do is the "buy from a few times" and see if they are legitimate and if not how well do they respond back to emails to refund or exchange if they have something else I like. That leaves like a handful sad to say. A new "gimmick" being used now is the reusing of old style standard shrink wrap which is placed over the DVD but is not all the way sealed tight. Pop open those babies and you see a DVD if lucky but more likely a DVD-R with a peanut placed in the case to protect against disc coming off tray. Man it would kill some folks to be honest. I will say the majority of bootlegs, DVD-Rs and "authorized DVD-Rs" tend to come from the East Coast quadrant of the country. Not all the time but the majority. Very few from West Coast sellers but a few have happened. Man it takes a miracle to buy anything from the East Coast as its majority flat out 100% bootlegs. Normally depending on seller something priced 90 dollars is likely legitimate but not guaranteed and thus no way I take that chance. [Link]

Click to expand Sorry Flash but you are right about pricing might not mean anything which I alluded to but DerricksDVD is not all 100% bootlegs in fact most are not and I know that from having bought from them. Odd that you would pick that one out to highlight as anyone who buys alot still on ADM knows most of the bootlegs are in and from NY and NJ sellers. [Link]

It's confusing to the public to promote a product as DVD when it's DVD-R, shame on perv city and their distributors for not adding a warning label to give customers a choice.
