| Linus TR fan Member 318 Posts 11/03 |  Posted - Jan 4 2004 : 6:24AMI have recently purchased a couple North productions that were released by New Sensations, Deep Throat This 1, 10, and A couple of the early North pole titles. All of them have similar problems, as in they play very poorly in my machines. It is mostly a freezing problem, and the photo galleries are mostly unusable. The first few scenes, are generally pretty good, but as the movie progresses, the scenes have more and more lockups. I have tried these discs on a total of 5 machines, and 2 computers, all with pretty much the same results. I sent them back to the distributor, and they gave me a line that they worked fine for them, which I can see, if the merely stuck in the disc and played the first few seconds of the first scene. My equipment is top notch, and I have had no other problems with any other discs in them. Is anyone else had trouble with these lines? I like North productions, but if this is what I can expect from other titles, then I will not be purchasing any more. Thanks for any feedback. [Link] |

Usually the culprit is a scratched or dirty dvd. Look at the top of the dvd where the label is and if there is any damage. Remember contrary to popular belief it is scratches on the top sid of dvd's that cause errors not the bottom. Although I've seen where fingerprints and smudges on bottom of disk also give dvdplayer hardtime. The other time I have seen problems you described is with poor dvd copies. If poor media was used making dvd or dvdcopy program was used that writes all the way to edge of dvd you'll get dvd's that at first appear to play fine until you reach the last part of dvd. [Link] |
