All cultures are fascinated by young women - mainstream entertainment is worse than the hardcore business. Giant mainstream entertainment companies sell girls in a sexual way long before the adult biz gets a shot at them at 18 - as young as 12 and 13. People condemn rightfully these suggestive non-nude websites featuring 12-18 year old girls - not much if any different than the marketing of Britney Spears and all the other teen pop and movie stars.

Maybe 21 would be a better age of majority for working in hardcore. But in reality the girls who have problems would still have those problems if they didn't go into porn - the only negative a porn career at 18 might have is that the girl by 21 may feel differently and have 100 DVD's floating around with her having sex. I don't think this is really that big a deal - the speculation that I see many people making that there are girls all over America riddled with remorse over their porn pasts, living in fear that somebody will find out is just overly dramatic imaginations at work.

None of these girls are dragged into the industry - ok sometimes they are by the loser junkie boyfriends - but not by people in the biz. Girls can tell that talent scount pimp to go fuck himself when he tells her she can be the next Jenna Jameson and make 10 grand a week. At 18 you should be able to make decisions for yourself.

No doubt there are some real scumbags in the business who put lots of pressure on girls to do things they never intended to do - I think that sucks, if a girl comes into the business and just wants to do solo work or girl/girl work people should leave them alone - the girls know there is more money available for going more extreme, they should be left alone to make that decision. There's nothing wrong with asking the girl if she would be interested in shooting hardcore but once she says no, leave her alone.

Teagan is repped by LA Direct Models. For us to be able to afford to hire girls at the going rate for girls who do b/g hardcore, $700-900, it is essential we be able to shoot still sets on the girls. According to people I have talked to it has always been this way - that a girl is paid to do her movie scene - but also does pretty girl stills and production stills of the hardcore. Girls can spend all day long working on a shoot for a studio, gonzo or feature, what with makeup, waiting around for other scenes to be shot. We don't ask that of girls, they can be in and out in half a day for the same pay. We also don't ask for an 'Internet rate' which is supposedly a few hundred dollars less per shoot and it's based on the fact that when girls shoot for bigger studios there are taxes witheld. Maybe we are dumb and should be getting this "Internet rate" I keep hearing about but we only want to shoot the freshest newest girls and maybe there is no 'Internet rate" for those girls because they are so in demand.

LA Direct has no clue what the Internet content market is about. They want to rewrite how the business works - they want alot of extra money for girls to shoot stills - and stills are what makes our shoots profitable, a decent gonzo studio has a budget of about 4-5,000 a scene. Our budget is max $2500 and it includes still sets, people still love still photography on the Internet - that's the Internet for you and it's continually getting squeezed smaller by competition from European shooters and itinerant idiots in Los Angeles who shoot for beer money apparently. LA Direct would charge us for Teagan probably $2000, for a boy/girl scene and the stills - which by the way take almost no time to do, these are amateur style photosets. We have overhead just like anybody else in business, we're not going to shoot girls for a $200 payday. No photographer with any self respect is going to make $200 while the model makes $2000.

It's not just us who aren't using LA Direct, many studios aren't because they attempt to pull the same things on the directors shooting features and gonzo.

The only good thing about LA Direct is that the girls are forced to be professionals and not flake on jobs.

It's not a big loss for us - if u look at LA Direct's site 90% of the girls have breast implants and none of my customers have any interest in those kind of girls. Teagan and maybe one other girl would be the only ones we'd want to shoot.

All that said, LA Direct has a right to ask whatever they want for girls and for now appear to be succesful.

Some agencies really don't do much other than make a few phonecalls to set up a booking. Then the girl is on her own to get where she's supposed to be - and many of them left to their own devices will not make the shoot.

According to Tom Byron in a post on here, it's no better than a 50/50 proposition that a girl will show up for his shoots. For us it's about the same. I know we've given girls like three chances before. Crystal Ray for one, Autumn Austion another. It's pretty frustrating but i guess you have to remember these girls are 18-20 and they don't really think or care about how their actions affect other people.

2.It is an agents job to get as much money for the girl as possible. Teagan is booked through mid june can you blame her or her agent for taking the higher paying job? If you could make 2000 or 1000 for the same job which would you pick?

3.you often get what you pay for. Because her rates are higher is no reason to hate her agent.

4. Direct miodels has professional girls because if you flake (enough) they will fire you. no matter how much you think your shit dont stink.
