I have ordered some DVD's from Blubay, web address http://curious-about-sextoys.com/index.htm

They seem to be suppliers to uk customers and promise 5-7 days delivery. It is now 3 weeks since i ordered and 2 weeks since they took the cash from my bank account. I sent an e-mail but have had no reply after 2 days.

Is this normal? and has anyone any experiences of this site? I chose them cos they seemed good value, maybe too good to be true?

Pity I found this site after possibly wasting my money, trading will be alot better value I think

Any help and advice appreciated.

Sorry Grunty, but it does look like you've been had mate.

I've never heard of this outfit, and all the things that you've said in your post point to this being a con-outfit. All I can say is better luck with ordering in future. There's plenty of good companies recommended on these pages as I'm sure you've seen.

Thanks for the reply.

It looks like I have lost forty quid. I will chase it with the bank anyway, maybe I will get something back. I will have a good look around these pages for recommendations, perhaps save myself some money in the future

It'll be even better if you have a contact address, especially if it's in the UK, then you can get the law onto 'em. But if there's no contact address on their site, then it's definite that it's both a con job and that you've lost your money for good.

And if you don't get any results, then send the plod along to their place of business and hope that it isn't a false address...

The phone number is a dud - rings once and disconnects.

However, I did get an e-mail reply from them telling me that the DVD's were shipped from the US and if I did not receive anything, they are willing to resend via airmail.

Seems like alot of effort if they were just trying to rip me off as they already have my money. I will give them a few days to see what happens

Hope it works out Grunty.

If not try either of these. I'm fairly new to ordering from outside the UK and have ordered from both of these two successfully a number of times. They'll certainly deliver what you order:

www.vidshop.com
www.orgazmik.com

Also you might want to have a look at the melonfarmers website:

Just a quick message to let you all know that I finally received my DVD's and a few messages of apology from the suppliers. They were sent from the US which would account for the delay.

The only problem is: They are not what I ordered. The ones I was sent aren't even listed on the website.

It may not be too bad, they may be ok and if not, I can always sell them in the trading forum.

Grunty, sorry to hear you didn't even get what you paid for in the end. At least you can take a little consolation from the fact that you have enlightened your fellow ADT readers about this company.

Have you asked for them to send you the correct discs? If they are genuine, decent suppliers they will sort you out with the goods. Please keep us posted if you decide to take this issue further with them.

Sadly, this sort of shoddy treatment of the punters takes me back to the bad old days of the UK sex shop biz, where we just had to take any old tat that was handed out to us and like it. I know some of the readers of this forum have had experiences along those lines, usually resulting in a swift departure from the premises!

Grunty~

If you paid by credit card, there's no reason to write getting ripped off or fucked over down to "bad experience".

Email them and tell them to send you what you ordered, else you'll get your bank/credit card company to do a chargeback.

Give them a week or so to reply.
In the meantime get the paperwork from your bank or CC company and fill it out.

If you don't get satisfaction in that week, send them a second email, telling them they you have the papers, fully filled out and that they have 24 hours to email you with a refund/confirmation of correct goods sent, else you take the forms in.

If they still haven't refunded or sent the right good, take the forms in and let your bank do the rest. That's why you pay your credit card fees. The bank will get your refund, and take the trouble out of the ripopff merchants with chargeback fees.

Usually the threat of chargeback is enough to get things fixed up, I've found.

tigger186~
Email them to cancel your order, and contact your credit card company to let them know to decline any charges of <whatever the amount was> on <date> as you cancelled a mail order for DVDs and the company has not replied to you at all.

Grunty~ What do these clowns call themselves on your credit card statement? If you could let us know, then tigger186 can specify to his bank to decline any attempted charges from that company name.

good luck guys,

scipio
