Studio 2000 releases always have a very good plot, lot of dialogues. I rent videos in the past. But ever since DVD shows up, I started my collection, painfully slow though because they are so expensive.

I think I need to start my own collection of porn. The problem is I really don't know where or how. I have to wait till I get back to Pennsylvania (for school) because penetration in porn is illegal here in Oklahoma. Don't ask me why! But also, I have no clue what to buy. I could definitely use some reccomendations. I want something that has some sort of plot but isn't boring with simulated sex. (I've read some of the reviews here talking about that.) Their DVDs cost more, but in gay porn, you really get what you pay for. Stay away from Sunshine, they are low priced and low quality! If I could only own one DVD or if I were starting my collection I would buy "Comrades in Arms" by Kristen Bjorn. Hot cast, hot sex! It is a little short on dialogue, but many folks rate it a 10 out of 10. Its about $36 at DVD Advantage. I have ordered both Dream Team and Tailspin on DVD. Perhaps that's no surprise, since the same holds true for VHS. Still, the phrase "you get what you pay for" has never been truer. Most of the premium titles are worthy additions to any library. And only a few of the bargain titles are worth watching, let alone buying. They're based on the opinions and recommendations of the folks on this board... I agree that Bjorn, Studio 2000 and Atomic are good studios to look at first for a newbie. If it is twinks, then my guess is Bel Ami or Pride video, but I have never viewed any of their DVDs. I do have friends who like the more youthful look and they rave about the above two studios. I just received and watched Dream Team and Tailspin. Both are very well done with a full story and plenty of dialogue. Both have very high production values. They spent quite alot on the various sets that they filmed on in comparison to most of the currently available DVDs. Both have the more youthful looking models (in comparison to Eruption or River Patrol), but I'm not quite sure they qualify as Twinks. Sorry guys, I'm not an expert on Twinks. It may range from an expression on a guy's face when he cums, using a "stunt" dick, and if the camera angles are right, faking penetration. Sometimes if there is only one camera to record the action, the first take will be focused on the cum shot, the second take will be focused on the guys face as he pretends to cum. Edit it all together and no one will know. From time to time, but not very often, they will have a guy standing in who can "get it up" asap if the star can't get it up, etc. Usually in those cases, they will film close up and show only the waist of the top and the other guys butt of course, so you can't see their faces. There was one porn star who did alot of stunt dicking, but his name escapes me right now. Even penetration can be faked very easily without most folks knowing. If one guy is on his knees bending forward toward the camera and the other guy is behind him "thrusting back and forth with his body" it is assumed that penetration is happening, but it just could be that the guy is just faking it.
