Has anyone noticed all the compilations being put out lately by Jules Jordan? They don't look like compilations, and then you look and it's all old scenes. That's all fine and good, but they don't get marketed as compilations from what I've seen. For example, I think it's "Semen Sippers Orgies and Gangbangs" is just a bunch of old crap, from earlier in the series. Unless I'm missing something here-this is bullshit and Jules should be ashamed-trying to trick us like that. Also, I checked, it wasn't "Sperm Load a Day". It was "Sperm Overload". No where does the box mention compilation. And if you can't tell on that one-you have no business discussing this as you're obviously clueless on the genre. The mistake on that one does not invalidate the claim. The claim stands. That's 2 examples, I rest my case. Now back to the issue, has anyone noticed this and found it insulting and deceptive?

This one has never been put forward as anything but a compilation. It's noted in numerous reviews, and if one checks [ invalid url ] he gives where every single scene came from originally. If seedfeeder still means Semen Sippers 7 then I'm not sure where the heck he's getting mixed up claiming scenes came from Cum Swappers. Two minutes worth of cross referencing the performers in Semen Sippers 7 will show that not a single girl in the movie starred in any of the Cum Swappers series.With the exception of DeVoe's Bubble, every one of these releases is a compilation, and from what I've seen has never been put forward as anything but. It's noted in numerous reviews, on the IAFD, in the category lists at stores such as Adult DVD Empire, and I think in every case in the price search here at Adult DVD Talk. Yes, they're normally the same price as other JJV releases, but where the standard JJV release is 3-4 hours, these normally clock in at 5 hours at a minimum or more (Sperm Overload 3 shows to be over 6 1/2 while All Star Overdose is over 7) while not showing anything for extras. There's plenty of signs that these are compilations as well as tons of information out there. Once again, if seedfeeder is so sure that certain scenes come from other places and from other companies, please name which scenes are being put forward as new scenes and where they're from originally. It should indicate it clearly on the box, PERIOD. If it says "best of" or "greatest..." or "Everhard's favorite..." that's fine. The list including, semen sippers orgies and gangbangs" makes no indication. And frankly you already wrecked this thread bud, so why even continue discussing it? I agree that comps should be labeled as comps, but I haven't seen those specific titles. This becomes less of an issue as brick and mortar stores disappear, but once burned and that whole brand becomes less attractive. The last comp I saw was by 3rd Degree. It's some nice lesbian porn, so maybe I'd want to watch the complete videos, but I'm not likely to pay for the same scenes twice. Since then I haven't watched anything by 3rd Degree. There's too much competition from better studios to waste a dime on what might be a comp.
I think JJV is lower quality porn for higher prices, so there is the argument that anyone who gets stuck with a JJV comp has been fairly warned by the JJV label on the cover.
That's a valid point. To me, it's just doubly outrageous or scandelous when JJV does it since they charges so freaking much. Leisure Time used to be the king of deception (pics on box were rarely of scenes in movie, titles were complete lies, even running times were way off sometimes.... like their whole mission statement was "To convince our fans we are frauds and go out of business as soon as possible". I'd say Vivid was the next version.... they'll put out 2 movies with the same subject, and like 80% of the scenes are the same. I recall buying some Lexus compilations and they were totally different in packaging, title, etc... but the movies were almost the same identical scenes... I felt ripped off. But at least I only paid $5 a piece. With Jules, a loyal fan could pay $25 only to find out that there is nothing new or perhaps an hour of stupid back stage material. Speaking of that-I recently bought a JM productions bloopers (#4 I think) movie, and it was ONE freaking scene, just boring conversation back stage from some pissed off star or something. Worst movie I ever purchased, I couldn't believe it was one boring scene-I kept searching the menu for other scenes assuming I'd missed something, but I hadn't. Jim pulled a good trick on me with that one.... dohit!
Unless it features one particular pornstar, I've usually tried to avoid them. Companies are notorious for not labeling them, especially companies that distribute many different studios that they somehow own. Been going on for years.
That's absolutely true-frankly it's gotten a lot better over the years... At least they feature the actual scenes on the box, and not blatantly lie with the box like they used to. But I still don't follow why conventional business thinking seems to not apply in porn (even though it DOES apply)-like -"don't lie to your customers, they get upset, talk trash and quit buying your product".
And it sucks when we get duped. I was excited to grab "White Ass Attack 5" because it did not say compilation and I thought with all hope that since Keri Sable was listed that maybe, just maybe she had come out of retirement and blessed us with re-entry (and rear entry) into the world of hard core nasty filthy pornography. I should have know better. It was a compilation and an old scene from early in her career. Come back Keri, we forgive you and want you back.
Although I can't get down on JJV for some of their comps due to the obviously long running times and other warning signs, I will get down on Brian Pumper and Freaky Empire. I just started his Black Pussy Leaking Cum to find that it's a comp. Standard movie length listed (about 3 hours), nice cover shots, and comments about "Young meaty vaginas spilling hot semen" along with "Shot in 16:9 Widescreen HD". Start watching it, and the first girl (Jordan) welcomes you to "New Lil Freaks Get It Poppin' 2", which is presented in the full screen format and released nearly four years ago. That's one of the newer scenes in the movie. Where JJV often has giveaways like Keri Sable when she's been gone for several years, when I check the cast on the IAFD here there isn't a single girl who has ten credits to her name. The guys at JJV give you plenty of extra bang for your buck with some top stars on their comps, but Brian Pumper's going to find obscure stars and only give you five previously released scenes for the same money.
