The new boxcover claims to have an extra scene from the original theatre release I was just wondering if this was ever released with this missing scene added. The original dvd didn't include the "famous" missing scene, but this new version claims to have it. Strangely enough, adultdvdnow is the only online store that has the newer cover. The rest of the stores hjave the old cover, maybe they didn't bother to list the new cover, or it was never released. I've heard that i-candy went under. Does anyone know for sure? Just wondering.
Damn! I just bought the old one. My guess is that it was a planned release before I-Candy went out of business. On their website they have a number of "coming soon" titles that we'll probably never see...at least from I-Candy. The funny thing is that I don't see this release of Up 'N Coming mentioned anywhere. Maybe they're still in business?

But I tried sending them an e-mail a while back and they don't have a direct address to send e-mail to, instead they have the form that you fill out with your question and the web page sends the mail, but when you try and send it an error page keeps popping up, strange. I also noticed with the last release (Marilyn Chambers Private Fantasies #3) i-candy's web site was really late in informing people that it was released. I saw it at my local store before it was actually put on the web site's new release page. Steph, have you got any release info of theirs or is there an e-mail address where we can pose some questions? They have some quality titles that have not yet been released and I'd like to know when if ever some of them will be put to disc.
I presume (hope) that the controversial missing scene can't but be the anal fister of Marilyn which was known to have been eliminated in the cutting room and, apparently, never hit the theatres.
I doubt it since the new box says its the original theatrical release edition, which would imply that it doesn't contain footage that wasn't shown in the theater.
From reading Steph's review, the scene with Marilyn Chambers, Hershel Savage, John Holmes and Lili Marlene appears to have been edited from the original release so I would guess that is where the footage is missing from.
I could be wrong on all of this though as it is speculation.
The original DVD was missing the anal finale, supposedly because the tape used to make the DVD was incomplete (the scene, while very hot, contains nothing out of the ordinary in today's porn world).
It will be nice to have the unedited/unaltered version, if that scene is indeed what is being restored.
So this would be another case of the usual porn swindle, where they commercialize first a "cut" copy and then what should have been normally released as the normally available version on vhs. I didn't know about the cut version released on dvd, but about the fisters being prohibited I remind the posters that the recently released dvd version of "candy Stripers" featured the two normally excised fister scenes. Anyway, the words on the cassette implied that the theatrical version had never been released integrally on vhs either. About the anal fister, maybe I confused Up 'n' Coming with the twin movie "insatiable". I hope anyway that whoever will buy the dvd will inform us about the content.
After I obtain a copy I'll write a review, it may take a little while as no one apparently has the new copy in. Not even Adult DVD Now. I e-mailed them and they are still shipping the old version. They said they should have the new one in next week.
Yeah, but they weren't inserted back into the film, nor were there presence noted anywhere. They were both "Easter Eggs" that required 4 remote key strokes (3 of which did nothing on the screen to indicate that the viewer had pressed a button correctly).
Got my copy today. And it does includes the anal scene with Holmes and Marilyn. It maybe short but for the time a hot scene. Got it from Adult DVD Now.
