I think I saw a photo of hear at Erotica-LA 2009. However, there was no mention of whether or not she was affiliated with any other company appearing at the event or what her specific role was at the event. I did check out her website and they still have a link to her Vivid movie site but that's about it for adult entertainment. I'd be quite surprised if she does anything again in the adult industry before the end of the year, if ever. The movie seemed like a fun thing for her to do at the time but not a new, full-time career choice.

Is Kelli McCartys career effectively dead?
I did some web searches on her and nothing recent turns up with her (mainstream or p0rn) since the Jan 2009 release of her Vivid movie.

First the title of this thread is bad, I clicked expecting info not a question, a mod should change it.
As for any other work Beverly Lynne posted on her site that she did a couple photo shoots with Kelli and said the pics would be on both there sites, so I took that to mean Kelli is working on getting her own site going.

^ Yeah, that seemed to be the vibe I got from speaking to her at Erotica LA. She was signing posters for "Faithless", but was vague about whether she would do any more movies.

yeah it is kind of weird. it is like she retreated from the public eye after attracting so much attention
the drop off is so abrupt it makes me think she is consciously trying to lower her profile
if she wanted to build up her name now would be the time to do it, but instead she has withdrawn
maybe she was not prepared for the public criticism that came with doing hardcore?

In the interviews I heard her do, after the movie had been already out a couple of weeks, it sounded like her focus was on trying to produce and direct her own videos. Maybe she thought that she could strike a deal with Vivid for some kind of business arrangement where Vivid would front the money and she would produce/direct, and maybe perform the occassional girl/girl scene. I am a surprised as well at her low profile. It almost seems like she never thought this move through clearly and does not know what she should do next. This is very surprising for someone who is 40 years old. I would think that she must have had some idea what the fallout was going to be like.

She just got an AVN 2010 nomination for Best Actress so maybe she might show up to the awards show. If she does, maybe she'll be more proactive in the industry.

I think she's really sexy and is a great addition to porn. I hope she continues to work her way up in the business and becomes a more sought after commodity. She is a mint babe and since she was already a mainstream star*
it definitely adds to her appeal. She can be a superstar in porn if she gets a little busier so let's just hope that she is aspiring to do this.
*in ITALIC because I never knew she was famous before she did porn so in my mind she was never really a star to begin with

Probably 90-95% of the general public didn't know who she was (and still don't) so I think you are being extremely charitable by calling her a mainstream star.
