I remember an incident about 20 years ago, where the local police were chasing a guy in a stolen car, who turned out to be high on PCP.. he crashed the car into a telephone pole, which severed the pole at the base, the car flipped over, and continued for a couple hunderd feet on its roof..

They guy jumped out of the car, and ran for a block or so before the police managed to catch him. He had numerous injuries, but because of the drugs, and adrenaline, he didn't feel them until he started coming down.

Getting shot even multiple times does not shut someone down in 2 seconds like "in the movies" where it's usually one shot which blows the guy off his feet and he flies 20 feet backwards - from a pistol round - even if it is Dirty Harry and his 44 mag.

Just ask any police or military sniper.

They will tell you about guys who have had a clip from a Beretta or a burst from a M-16 unloaded into their chest ...and are still dangerous for several very long seconds that can get kinda exciting if he's armed and shooting back.

There is really only one shot they train them to use when they want to "shut him/her off like a lightswitch" that works every time.

They hit you just below and behind the ear - the medulla oblongata at the base of the skull and connection to the spinal collumn which acts as the "switchboard" all signals from the brain have to go through to get anywhere else via your spine.

Long range military snipers play with 50 cal BMG rounds ...

The movies really do not do these guns or ammunition justice.

Let's just say if you are walking to the 7-11 in Iraq and one of the guys you owe 20 bucks to decides to open up on you with a 50 cal... you look around the block and there is just nothing you can hide behind, walls, dumpsters, cars NOTHING that will stop those things...they just go through and through everything , including the block of an engine.

All you can do is hit the dirt and hope he runs out of ammo fast or has no clue how to use it and ends up shooting at a bunch of birds while you try and put as many walls between you and him as possible.

Now if you catch one of these monsters in the head...fuggetaboutit.

you are dead before you hear the shot or your fingers can even clench the trigger of the gun you are holding via reflex action.

I can not stress this enough - if you have never seen things like this before, I would NOT look unless you are a "faces of death" movie fan - it's not pretty.

That's what it looks like you when they want you dead and want to make sure you don't have anything to say about it, not even for a split second.

Christian, you raise an interesting point. But that just can't be so... pornstars are upstanding citizens who do not lie, cheat, steal or break the law in any way.... aren't they?
