The odd thing is that I can see posts being added to those threads.[Link] Redish Poetic Moderator Long and Cursive road to the Ivory Pagoda in the province of Loraine 4076 Posts 12/03 Posted - Nov 26 2006 : 2:34PM
I am also experiencing the same problem with pages not loading.Just the first loading over and over again.

You can set the option on how many posts per page to show, so you can get a couple pages deeper into a shorter thread that way. Also, for long topics where people might not read the whole thread, you can reply to it from the first page. I think this glitch is probably happening to everyone.[Link] Gentleman Jon All-Star Member 1881 Posts 6/05 Posted - Nov 26 2006 : 4:06PM
Fix it please. I've currently adjusted my profile to show 50 posts per page, but for the really long threads that still doesn't help.[Link] Joey Starr Senior Member Still wanking after all these years. 8082 Posts 10/00 Posted - Nov 26 2006 : 4:11PM

If the thread is not too long (this leaves out Nonsense and Two Words, obviously), the whole thing (including new posts) will be displayed if you go to the reply page.[Link] Tinaka Member 953 Posts 8/03 Posted - Nov 26 2006 : 7:16PM

I also notice when you do a search, you are only taken to the thread, not specific post.[Link] Cumwhipper Senior Member 4050 Posts 3/04 Posted - Nov 26 2006 : 8:43PM

Actually, I think there's a long-standing bug in the search option that often causes a re-direct to a post other than the one containing the search argument. I've been meaning to ask about this for a long time, and you just reminded me of it.The problem you mention is more related to the general problem everyone (including me) is having with not being able to see beyond the first page of posts. I've reset my #of-posts-per-page to 50, and that's helping with many threads. Obviously, there's a limit to that fix.

Same problem here. Firefox, Internet exploiter and Netscape all show the same fault.[Link] Cumwhipper Senior Member 4050 Posts 3/04 Posted - Nov 26 2006 : 8:55PM
Specifically, the directive in the URL that seems to be screwed up is the "whichpage" directive. Here's an example URL...https://forum.adultdvdtalk.com/forum/topic.dlt/whichpage=2 /cat_id=1/forum_id=10/topic_id=86849/.htm
Note the "whichpage=2" that should calculate a page based on the number of posts per page (which is different for each user)

Yes, there's a redirect. There's more redirects being added to the forum code too. (That's what I fucked up that started this thread.) I'm attempting to normalize all of the various URL formats used in the forum code. So if one of the "abnormal" URLs is encountered then the page will automatically redirect to the "normal" one.[Link] astroknight Questionable Moderator Tastes so good... 4187 Posts 11/99 Posted - Nov 28 2006 : 9:06PM
