I'm sorry, but this is getting ridiculous. Does everything have to focus on the color of someone's skin? I sincerely doubt Evil Angel chooses directors on that basis. They simply have a talented roster of unique directors.
But there's also some guy at WCP called "Dick" who also directed a lot ot TSAJ volumes. I wonder if he's black or white. Either way they're the best when it comes to interracial movies.
I recall (not Gray Davis, but in general) that when Lexington Steele left Anabolic, he tried to connect with Evil Angel as a performer/director. IIRC, Tricia Devereaux posted that she lobbied hard for Lex, but was overruled. Does that imply John Stagliano is racist? Not only no, but hell no. And in light of the way things turned out for Lex at RLD, I'd say John exercised his usual shrewdness in turning Lex down.
Ramsey mentioned that there are not a lot of good black directors. Well, there are only a very few black directors in porn today, good or bad (and all but Lex seem happy where they're at).
Patience is a virtue, but who wants to be virtuous? 4283 Posts 4/00

Thank you everyone for your replies.
When John sees a talented director who has something that interests him, he shows the appropriate amount of interest. I don't think I need to offer any further explanations.
Yeah I completely agree, and am I the only one that noticed an increase in trolling, almost all of it by newbies.
It seemed to start about a month ago, and it's really hurt the quality of the forums.
I'm starting to wonder if that "other board" is stirring shit up on purpose, just to ruin ADT.
Personally I'm at the point where I think ADT should charge a yearly fee to post here. Maybe that would scare off the trolls, and we could get back to talking about porn in a more civil manner.

This post is not ridiculous. It is a valid question. It is the same questions that is being brought up in professional sports today. There are not many black coaches in the league and now the NFL must interview one black coach before they make a hire. The Detroit Lions was fined for hiring Steve Marriucci without first interviewing a black coach. I mean there are a lot of interracial or black videos yet few black directors. Is there a glass ceiling for blacks in the business?
I don't think there's necessarily a "glass ceiling" for blacks or anyone else. Everyone's worth in this industry is dictated by their level of professionalism, their marketability, and what they bring to the table -whether it's a big dick, camera skills, whatever. Justin Slayer, despite a relatively short time in the biz, commands a higher price than most guys and gets it, because he deserves it, not because he's black or white. That said, I would say this industry is pretty good at rewarding those based on their skill , and not on any racial agenda.
Your logic escapes me. Are you comparing porn to sports? Taking your example, one presumes that the NFL is thinking teams can reach down to the colleges and high schools for black coaches to interview. There's no such minor league of black directors available for porn producers to go to. Furthermore, porn doesn't exactly have the cachet that sports does in American society, so young film students aren't flocking to its doors.
Yes, you might get the occasional director from outside the business, but new directors are usually seasoned actors and actresses who've decided to change hats. That's a pretty small talent pool, and just being a good actor doesn't say squat about one's desire or ability to direct.
However, the good news is that, unlike major league sports, there's nothing preventing somebody from joining the fray with their own company, so feel free to jump in if you think Evil Angel, et al, are missing an obvious opportunity.
In regards to your singling out Evil Angel, you might have noticed that they only take on proven directors, and don't even do that very often. Taking on somebody new just because of their skin color would really be racist, don't you think?
Waitaminute! There's no Chinese - Lebanese - Indian - Mexican directors at Evil Angel either! They must be a bunch of racist pricks!

Actualy they do have a latino in Stanley Miranda who is Brazilian. I didn't say Evil Angel is racist. I was just wondering why there is no black directors there.
could we please not take certain things completely out of the wrong context, this is just getting ridicolous, just like the taylor rain gangband video thread.
This thread's going no where fast. Let's leave the useless one liners and images, and the petty comparisons/accusations to/of other forums out of it. In my opinion, Tricia went above and beyond by even answering the original question.
Having seen so many threads like this one that have degenerated into noise, I really have my doubts about this one's usefulness as well.
