I myself am not a huge fan of Mike John's work, but he does have a lot of fans, and I'll be the first to admit that there are some very good reasons for that. His work doesn't tend to be to my taste and for many of the reasons you cited, but that doesn't take away the fact that he does impressive work within his particular niche. I really can't get behind your assesment of Erik Everhard though. I think that guy is great. A great performer, a good director and he's got some good old-fashioned passion behind him, and I consider that a very valuable trait indeed. No comment on John Dough... Mike L. [Link] |
