Just got done with my review for this title and I must say Mark Davis has done another bang up job finding some hot ladies. I really enjoyed the entire disc in particular Gauge, Brooke Ballentyne, and Taylor Rain scenes. The cool thing is in each scene the girl took on 3 cocks and there was no tease, no slow build up. Instead you get a nice id on the screen of the girl you're about to see along with the names of the 3 lucky cocks and then it's straight to cock sucking!! Plenty of oral is shot and the sex is also very good with all the positions you'd want to see including two standing double penetrations!! I wholeheartedly agree but with this title we thought coming out with guns blazing was the way to go. When you have 3 spunk monkeys jockeying for position and hole preference, there isn't alot of tease and build-up possible. I felt like a combat photographer in Nam.
There is a strip tease segment on each girl in the special features section however.
That's a poor excuse for using Mark Davis all the time but it doesn't matter because nobody is forcing us anti-Mark Davis fans to buy any movie from Zero Tolerance. We know Mark Davis is in every movie from Zero Tolerance so all we have to do is avoid movies from this company.
Just an observation, but since Davis is booked for somebody's movie virtually every day of the week, many times twice a day, I'm guessing there's a lot of companies you avoid.
That's a small price to pay, besides, I'm not avoiding companies, just the movies he's in.The guy has been overused and I really hate seeing the same guys over and over again. It's also about personal taste. I mean some guys don't like to see Ed Powers or Ron Jeremy, I don't like Mark Davis.

To me, Mark Davis is about as inoffensive as it goes. Sure, he isn't the most exciting performer on the block, but I'll take him anyday over the likes of Jay Ashley, Pat Myne, Brian Surewood, Kyle Stone, etc.
Hot action. But, very disappointing picture quality problems. Some scenes the guys have a red tint and the gals are yellow and other scenes the gals are green.
Would haver made Monthly Top Ten if the picture quality was better.

There's a reason why Mark Davis is overused and in general why you see the same guys over and over again - most of the people who attempt this job can't pull it off. I've spent many an afternoon ready to hit record on my camera only to have some wannabe meat puppet pounding his pud desperate for any type of blood flow to his pelvis. Even Viagra can't turn some joeblow off the street into a performer. Girls request Davis, he gets the job done every time and he will be in the vast majority of future Zero Tolerance releases. I'm sorry that we can't count on your continued patronage of our product. You have my apologies and I do hope you find some peace in your life.

Ramsey-Yeah, I can see where you're comin' from, as far as personal tastes go. See, I agree with you that he get's overused, but it's just impossible to use that word in porn, when it comes to male performers. I just can't call any of them "overused", since they are in limited supply(at least the quality ones are).
Now I'm definitely not trying to lobby in favor of Mark Davis, but I saw something a couple of months ago that kind of impressed me. I picked up a copy of RLD's World Class Ass 2(It was the one with Alaura Eden on the cover). For the last scene, there was this girl, I believe named Guinevere. I haven't seen her in anything again since that scene, so I can't quite remember her name. Anyways, she was not particularly attractive, and during her pre-fuck interview, she acted like an idiot, like she was on another planet. Right away I could tell this was a waste scene that RLD threw in b/c they needed a sixth scene. But, when MD came out and the fuckin' started, he was a madman. I mean, I still didn't exactly love this scene, but without someone with his intensity in it, it would have been horrendous. So, he kind of single-handedly upgraded the scene. That, along with the fact that female stars talk highly of him, are the reasons I give him the benefit of the doubt.

Having just finished viewing samples from a batch of 30 VHS copies of No Holes Barred, I have noticed on 5 that there appears to be a color saturation issue. Keep in mind that I tend to shoot with a little more color gain than most people just because I like the way the skin tones look with a "warmer" picture but something clearly went awry in this situation. We're now checking with our duplicator to see where the problem lies and hope you'll accept our apologies and stay on board for future releases. Being that we're a new company with only a few people doing many different jobs, sometimes things slip by. This appears to be one of those times.
That being said, the copies that I viewed where the color problem existed, it didn't appear to be so egregious that the movie lost it's jackability so I hope you can still find personal enjoyment in this tape :)
Quaze, the color issue aside, the only other problem I had with this DVD was the poor direction. IMHO, the male talent were too involved in enjoying their work and lost focus on technical presentation.
In a strong JJ pick, say the first WOAD, the guy getting blown is using both hands to spread the cheeks of the actress getting anal doggy -- all while making certain he is not obstructiog the cameras view of either activity. I only watched NHB once, but cannot recall anyone getting head doing anything other than possibly pulling the actresses hair aside.
I will definately check out another ZTVideo title, but I felt the performances were all very strong, but the male talent did not provide you with any assistance in capturing the hottest action. This was definately the responsibility of the director. Mark should learn from it or stick to acting.
Also, before I get flamed, I am not suggesting Mark immitate JJ or lose his own identity. He just needs to spend more time with his videographer and male talent to optimize blocking and the shot for the audience.
I agree wholeheartedly. I rented this video primarily for the Taylor Rain scene and was somewhat disappointed. The view of this lovely young gal was often obscured by man ass. While the scene did a good job showing the various positions, it seemed that very little regard was given to ensuring that Taylor got off.You know, I thought that would make me enjoy it more, but I realized something: tease good, plot bad. I think the major weakness of Vivid releases is that the acting scenes are just filler. However, I love the build-up provided by Jules Jordan in his titles. A little background regarding the girl and showing off her body provides a solid background to a scene.
I am very glad that I rented the title instead of buying, because it wasn't worthy of a long-term place in my collection. (Too bad I rented the vhs version and won't get an opportunity to see the bonus stripteases since it could have swayed my opinion). I generally put a great deal of value in bono-ONE's reviews, but IMHO, I think he could have used a more critical eye while watching this movie.
Quaserman: While I may have been disappointed with this particular product, take these criticisms with look to improving your product, particularly the lighting and the blocking. I was very impressed with "Who's Your Daddy?" which came out a little while ago. Great scene with Allura and Taylor, and the standing 69 between Boo and Mark Davis is permanently etched in my brain.
Frankly, it shows. While there generally is chemistry with the girls that he works with, the pop shots are weak and I'm not just comparing to Jules Jordan or Peter North. It would be wiser for him to cut back and reserve some of that mojo so that the money shots are a little stronger. I find it hard to believe that there's only one guy in all of California that can pull off a scene in porn.

You know you are right!! I should have given the Audio/ visual portion a 3 rating instead of a 4. For me though the action far outweighed the technical aspects to those scenes and overall I thought the movie was pretty good, not up to Ass Clevage which I think it is fucking awesome but still pretty good for a new company. I think the next volume will be even better, they won't be using that club anymore!! I appreciate any feedback on my reviews, still trying to get a good formula to them!!!
I appreciate all the feedback from everyone and, though I think No Holes Barred is a strong release, we will obviously strive to make improvement in the next volume. Let me just say that it's not easy being one cameraman in the midst of three jizz jockeys thinking with their pricks (it's also quite dangerous). Getting a good shot is much more difficult than in a one on one or two on one situation.
