I wanted to browse some Violet Blue titles, so I searched X-RentDVD for er name and got no results. Then I went to a couple of popular titles that she was in, and they don't have her name listed with any of them??? It seems like they have deleted her name from their database.
I wonder if there was some type of feud or legal action. When I went to Bush DVD, they had 129 results for her. IAFD lists 250, but many of those are comps.
What's the damn deal?
Is she still active?

Sounds to me like some glitch in the system. The only legal thing I've ever heard of is some other woman named Violet Blue was going to sue her over the name issue. But I think that got resolved.

How ridiculous. The dispute could have been more equitably resolved if the parties had agreed to rename themselves as "Violet Blue (The Pornstar)" and "Violet Blue (The Astonishingly Boring Writer)."

Actually I think the had some sort of verbal agreement, but the boring author suddenly went to court ant got the rights an our girl was never informed until it was a done deal. She could (our girl the porn star) but that would cost probably more than she wants to spend.
I think No Name Jane should changed her name to Violetta or Venus Blue.

When she picked the name, she had never even heard of the chick and even Googled the name and found nothing. The writer trademarked the name in 2007 after Violet had made over 200 popular adult films using that name. Then she wants to say Violet diluted her trademark.
I say the porn star should offer to go by Violet Bleu and if that isn't good enough, see ya in court. Surely some horn-dog lawyer would represent her pro-bono.

Bullshit it may be, the author got to court first, unfortunately. VB could probably go back to court and get thinks changed, but that costs $$ that VB, apparently does not wish to spend.
I seem to remember a few years back when either Sean Michaels or Lex had the same problem with some pro wrestler (or maybe a hockey player). I don't know what became of it other that the 2 still have their names. I bet whoever it was hired a lawyer.
