The trouble is, there is no actual DVD. Always presented in Portrait style, like a DVD cover. I think they choose the Portrait style to make you think it is a physical DVD. Even though the scenes themselves are referred to in Landscape style screenshots. A DVD collector such as myself gets frustrated trying to distinguish the real from the (at best) virtual. Here is one of a myriad of examples.
Note no date of production, and no back cover available. No copyright notice. No real details. But Volume 10? A volume originally related to a book, like the 20-volume Oxford Dictionary. This was appropriated to physical DVDs, such as Up Your Ass #21 (whether mentioned as a volume or not). You could have a shelf of books or a shelf of DVDs from a given series. But you are right, most film posters, mainstream or adult, are Portrait style. I really like the movie For A Few Dollars More (even over The Good, The Bad and The Ugly), but they do have many Portrait posters of it but seemingly only one landscape version. Thanks again.
