hi,

Recently I watched a 1971 porn film called Schoolgirl. Something Weird used to carry it but it doesn't anymore, seems like they dropped a number of titles a couple of years ago and it was one of them. Anyway, I was truly amazed. It is, beyond any doubt, one of the best pornos I have ever seen. Everybody in it is relaxed, they seem to be having a good time and there is none of that bulging-vein-in-the-forehead that has come to characterize porn these days. Can someone recommend something like that? Where the guys are not in some sort of desperate race? Just taking their time, enjoying what they are doing. Just having fun, for god's sake. To me it is utterly amazing that there are not more pornos like that. The impulse in most of them seem to be just to destroy the girls, to go faster, faster, faster and then get all red in the face and pop a load. The older Nasty Nymphos used to be like that but not anymore. Performers treating each other with some care and interest. Why is that such a rare sight?

Kim I couldn't agree with you more... I often tell the male performers in my scenes to slow down, relax and enjoy the ride. Be erotic, not neurotic LOL. If the animal comes out genuinely in the heat of passion.. so be it. Just keep it real... that's my philosophy.

If you like that, there are plenty more of these kind of classics available nowadays, have a look in the 'features forum' and search for classics, or ask Flash, the moderator there.

Why? Because these aspects of human interaction are more subtle and difficult to capture than the red-face frat-boy rage that is so common in today's porn. Capturing/depicting care and interest takes more time, money and skill than the average pornographer has at his disposal.

Maybe most performers want to keep the sex business-like.

What sad world do you live in where treating people with care and interest is incompatable with keeping things business-like?

Well, maybe most performers don't want to give or receive sexual pleasure during their work because they want to keep things business-like.

Not a problem Axel Braun has.LOL When it comes to the interaction with his talent, The G-Spot Guru acts like a cheerleader when he gets his girls to squirt. He's got a new Squirting 101 movie coming out next week with even more squirting babes.

I don't know how many of you have actually seen the film Kim is talking about; but not only does it have little in common with contemporary porn, it has little in common with porn circa 1980 either. Schoolgirl is a early SF feature that immediately identifies itself historically in a way almost no hardcore that came later does. It has a friendly, laughing, hippy-dippy vibe that only enthusiasts working for a few bucks, lunch, and the satisfaction of subverting social norms can possibly deliver. David Gerber (the director) partnered with DeRenzy before making his own features. At one time the film was available from Caballero, but the title--implying underage sex (actually the schoolgirl in question is supposed to be going to college) seems to have regulated the film to the vaults. It's one of my personal favorites and a rare film that most fans--male, female, young, old, gonzo or feature--would probably like. The funny thing is, once upon a time we would say that this film had poor production values--but these days, it looks like a big budget job . . .

Yes, Lazarus, yes. That's exactly what I miss. The feeling of joy and happiness that you can see in that movie and that I have not seen in any porn movie before. I was watching it and saying to myself 'my god, it actually is possible to make porn with good vibes'. And it speaks volumes that I was so surprised. Good vibes in porn should be the norm rather than the exception.

Maybe it just takes a different state of mind to do things like that. Is it just capitalism's fault? That in order to have a streamlined industry you have to dispense with the factors that can not be measured? There just seems to be no room for good vibes in porn. Four or five dicks in a girl at the same time, yes. A smear of shit in her forehead, yes. A hand in the mouth and pee in their eyes, of course. But good vibes and happy people enjoying themselves? no, no, definitely not. That would be too offensive. In a way I think a lot of porn caters to the same fundamentalist christian mentality of the anti-porn crusaders, seeing sex as something evil and dirty that should be kept hidden away rather than as a beautiful manifestation of the human spirit. Which it can be, sometimes. The only thing is that one would never know that by looking at the porn we get these days.

You're really making me want that movie.

Unlike you and Lazerus, I haven't seen that movie, but there were a few movies in the 80s and late 70s that, to me, felt fun and gave of 'good vibes'.
Not many are available on DVD though. ... Yet. (fingers crossed)

If you want some recent productions like that, the best place to look would IMHO be with the feature companies, who also put out some less girl-destroying all-sex titles and some loosely scripted reality porn.

Violence and misogyny are to porn what hot pepper is to a shitty cook, and as Lazerous points out, in it's day School Girl was laughable in it's production value, but by today's standards it would be a big-budget masterwork.

But if you're not ready to throw in the towel and just stick to having great sex instead of trying to find great sex to watch, try these:

You may be right. I just read (here? ksex? adultfyi?) that a girl told the guy she was working with that she had a policy of never having orgasms on camera. WTF?!
