However, in this case, my intent is to identify the scene
so that I might purchase the movie. Had I not discovered
it via download, I might never had known it existed at all.

I would go to iafd and do a search on either Mandingo or Obsession (for purposes of my example, let's say you search on Mandingo). After getting the results, you will find an option where you can search on Mandingo appearing in a movie with another person. Enter Obsession into that box.

You will get a list of movies in which both Mandingo and Obsession appeared. If there are any movies listed in iafd that have scene breakdowns where Mandingo and Obsession have appeared in a scene together, that will be listed separately. If they are not in that subset, don't assume that they didn't appear in the scene together. It may just mean that iafd doesn't have a scene breakdown for that movie.

If there are multiple results, see if any of those results have reviews associated with them. The answer may be in one of these reviews.

I have in fact done the things you've identified and have been unsuccessful in locating the scene. The problem lies in the fact that iafd is not data complete as far as individual activities per scene and reviewers often leave out the details. I'm working with critically little data from the film.

So I can only go through the entire list one item at a time and hopefully find the scene. To date, I have traversed 6 of 10 titles listed by iafd without finding the scene in question. This is also made easier by the fact that enough of the scene is shown that the surroundings are identifable should they be in a boxcover photo.

So I am using all the tools at my disposal (that I know of) and only appealed to this knowledgable forum as an additional source.

Perhaps someone has seen this in person and can solve the mystery.
