For the companies that shoot out of the country like Nacho, Rocco, TT Boy, Toni Ribas et al.- Where do they get the girls?

From an agency, off the street prostitutes, legal brothels?

They act like either prostitutes or escapees from a girls school--not professional agency girls.

Just curious.

Sometimes it is not easy to resist developing a stereotype of viewing all US-Americans as a bunch of stupid, arrogant and ignorant people.

BTW, from which source is the highly educated talent drawn, which is used by $generic_gonzo_US-company for homegrown porn?
Most often they at least act like they are some high school drop-outs from a trailer park doing a sidejob to streetwalking.

Huh? AztecGold??

They use agencies for most, same as in the US.

I'm not sure which titles you are watching. Sure, a few may act as you describe, but there is a far greater number that don't.

In the movies I've seen most look at the camera too much as if no one told them what to expect.
The girls often do a poor job of "acting" -sort of just lie passively, (or maybe they are intimidated by the "crazy" Americans).

I guess I haven't watched enough--back to the drawing board.

Whether it's an American set or a European set, the performers are doing what the director tells them to do.

Furthermore, as has been pointed out numerous times, European studios have to deal with talent from different countries who speak different languages. No doubt some directors find it easier and more saleable to not have the talent speak in a tongue many viewers won't understand anyway.

Let's just imagine that you took a year or two of Spanish, French, German, or some other language when you were in high school. Now imagine that native speakers of that language came and were trying to direct you in that language on how to have sex and make it look the best for the camera. Any questions? I find it pretty impressive how many Euro porn girls know two or three languages, even if they may have a heavy accent and make some grammatical errors and forget some words when speaking English, or directors have to repeat themselves several times before they understand. From what I have seen in BTS, if one girl (or Euro guy) speaks English better than others in their scene, they may translate the directions to the others. I suppose it is possible that there are times when a director could say something in his or her language and one performer will translate it to a second language for another performer, who translates it to a third language for another performer, and on and on.
see here.

It has been mostly South American, Philipino, Cuban girls that I've seen.
I would expect European women to be much more sophisticated in Porn or real life.

Seeing as TT Boy is the only one of those you named who makes a habit of shooting women from Latin America, maybe you could have been a little more careful in your original complaint, then. Naming directors who normally shoot in Europe naturally leads to the assumption you're talking about Europeans as well.

Edited to add that I doubt porn is legal in any South American country. No doubt that accounts for the amateur nature of the performers.

Oh ok. I've never really watched much non-American, non-Euro porn, except for Sandy of Hungary visiting Brazil last year to get some material for her website. Otherwise, I know that there are a few stars who work in America originally from Latin America, but I'm not familiar with porn actually shot in countries like Brazil.

I read that TT Boy, Nacho, Toni Ribas sometimes shared female talent--that's why I grouped them together.

I haven't watched much of Rocco's stuff so I mentioned him in error. Mea Culpa!

I'm not really sure, but I've gotten the impression that porn is at least somewhat legal in Portuguese-speaking Brazil, or at least laws against it are enforced only very loosely. It makes sense for Brazil, with it's small or missing bathing suits on the beach, and Carnivale. I know there was a thread in Porn News a month or two ago about members of porn crew being held in prison in some Spanish-speaking country in South or Central America, I forget which one.

Mixing South America and Europe. This can only happen in the USA.

AztecGold,
It's a big big world outside with many different countries.

Aren't Argentina and Brazil provinces of Germany these days, with all the offspring of escaped Nazis littering up their streets?

I know this-I excelled in geography.

With the internet this is a very small world.

Mod Note:

Let's keep this on-topic. Let's not have it degrade into a Euro vs US thread, and definitely NOT degrade into a politics thread.

Paying war debt has NOTHING to do with agency or no agency.

If it continues to be off topic, this will be locked.

Hey Aztec,

beacuse I have watched many europorn titles. I watch mostly
europorn, because not many us titles you can get here,
I never witnessed any of the behaviour you are describing. You may have that feeling maybe its the different culture US vs. Europe,
maybe its the different way of people's thinking, different
society, etc.

98-99% of the girls are supplied by proffesional stable agencies. Lot of girls are university students while the others have stable jobs, but 99,9 to 100% of them are NOT prostitutes. They are just normal young beautiful girls
you meet on the street everyday.
They are doing it either for money or just for fun! Or for both!

I think this is also why euro porn or gonzo is so popular - along with gorgeous girls you get fun, immediacy and naturalness.

Its my point of view.

People just need to chill out.

Eastern Europe is a hotbed of human sex trafficking, and that is a fact.

It's the main reason I won't watch porn shot over there.

Unless I feel confident that the girls aren't being forced, against their will, then I won't buy the movie.

And before any Euros get their panties in a twist, why don't you do a bit of research on what's happening in your own back yard, before you call Americans ignorant.

Human slavery is alive and well, and Eastern Europe and Russia are major exporters of this horrible crime.

I sincerely doubt Marc Dorcel or Christoph Clark, et al, are getting their talent from slavers.

By the way, sex slavery happens right here in the USA, as well. They busted a ring in California just a few weeks ago. Best not to point fingers.

It's also worth pointing out that many of the girls nabbed in Russia and former soviet territories are shipped off to work in more "decent" countries like Britain and America. I've not heard of a case yet where a porn performer was found to be in this terrible situation, I've only heard of prostitution. Still, it should give people pause when they start demanding all sort of extreme sex acts from the girls...

I'm not pointing fingers, just defending the original poster, who was being criticized as inaccurate.

And the US has human trafficking for one reason, which is illegal immigration, and it's just another reason for the US to start cracking down on the problem.

Yeah, slave traders and owners (coyotes) smuggle people into a country, and then tell the slaves, in their own language, that they owe the coyote for his or her trouble in smuggling them in, and that if they are caught the government of that country will punish them in bad ways for being illegal immigrants. That's true. Perhaps if countries would run public service announcements on different media outlets, especially radio, in the language that the country suspects enslaved illegals speak, explaining that country's immigration and labor laws and offering amnesty in exchange for testimony against the coyote, more slaves would sneak off to find a phone and call the police. Unless the coyote is keeping his slaves away from even a radio, of course. But keeping slaves ignorant of the law in the country they have found themselves in is the coyote's best weapon, along with the slaves not speaking that country's main language.
I do think that sex slaves are more often brothel workers, not porn performers. Legally made movies are made with women acting on their own free will who are legally allowed to be in the country where the movie is being made. There's too much risk of people asking questions and the coyotes getting caught if they try to put an enslaved woman into a legal movie. Though of course a movie just as illegal as a pedo movie could be made with slaves, and circulated along the same channels as pedo movies.
See the recent post made here.

I'm from Slovenia and sometimes we're considered central but I guess most of the times Eastern Europe. I guess south east of Austria, which my country borders, central Europe ends. Being part of EU doesn't help I guess. I'd consider my position in the middle of everything. Balkan rules though, come and visit and you won't regret - chicks are nasty.

This is the definition of people excelling in geography an ocean and an isle afar.

Anyway, even with that definition the Czech Republic, e.g., is not considered an "Eastern European country".

When people "eastern europe" they usually are thinking of the former communist states. They are not certainly thinking of Greece and Czech Republic is not very "eastern" geographically.

While sex slavery does exist there i very much doubt it is them that we see in porn. Having said that if organised crime is not involved in the Prague/Budapest porn scene then they're surely missing out.

It's interesting that you should think so, since AztecGold11 made no mention of sex slavery and was, in fact, making too broad a characterization, as he himself admitted.

Its was defined by politics - iron curtain.
Although the iron curtain is gone it still has a major impact on the economics of these countries, hence they are Eastern Europe.

Definitions based solely on geography are old-fashioned and don't make much sense in times where you can travel to any country in the world in hours.

Bingo, last time I looked no such thing as an iron curtain existed.
The only definition which is old-fashioned is the definition you use.
I am even tempted to say using this definition is insulting to "Eastern European countries".
NACK.

I think it was some pre-emptive finger pointing. Maybe there are satellite images showing us filthy "Euros" are about to launch a spate of dastardly attacks on America's pornographic moral choices. I feel certain there must be.

Am I gonna get a smacked bottom from a mod for breaking the political embargo? Please promote Loraine and get her to do it!

I took this quote
to imply that the girls had a look of despertion and sadness about them, which pretty much falls in line with forced prostitution and sex trafficking.

Well I seriosly doubt that here is sex slavery (call it organized crime or whatever) connected in any kind with mainstream porn scene. Simply we are such a small country for that.
Here is a bunch of quite stable good known agencies and everybody knows each other.

Sure here you can accidentaly find half legal "agencies" that advertise shooting porn too, but one will never shoot a single movie with them I think. In real its mainly work outside coutry (escorting, dancing, etc..) and yeah, thats the real problem, but I think its completely another story - not the porn indistry.
