I love Margaret Cho to death, and since she has such a huge gay audience, I figured a review of her new flick is in order.

This one's been getting pretty good reviews, and I really wanted to like it, but sadly, it's just too darn uneven. Don't get me wrong, the middle 1/2 hour is really funny (when she talks about sex) but the other stuff just didn't do it for me. Some of the new characters she does have really annoying voices too.

Overall, I'd say it's worth a rent, but I think you'd have to be a die-hard CHO fan to want to watch this one multiple times.

Drat! I've downloaded some of her bits online and have always enjoyed her....guess I'll rent it first......I liked her previous concerts.....

Hey, it's been forever since I've been on! Anyway, I caught her on tour and enjoyed the show a lot. There wasn't quite as much depressing material as on "I'm The One That I Want." She's definitely not for a mass audience. Many people, mostly older couples thinking they were gonna see the "All American Girl" left, because a lot of the material is very graphic...heheh. But the feature I'm most interested about on the DVD is the commentary she does "as her mother." Did you check that out? I am dying to hear that, but with the holidays, I can't be buying for me.

the mother commentary is only "somewhat-funny". i LOVED the movie, though and busted up laughing through the whole thing. i did find it less of a one-woman-show and more of just utter standup but i was willing to deal! :) some of it was standard from her last movie but others were very original and VERY funny.

lesbian fisting midgets anyone?!
