Click to expand I have Jill Nelson's book on Holmes but strangely haven't got around to reading it yet. Iafd and the claim of 'true love' both seem dubious. Dawn Schiller's biography The Road Through Wonderland about the years she spent with Holmes as his underage girlfriend makes it pretty clear that he was probably always an abusive sociopath, once he became an addict it just got worst. So I guess it depends on how you define 'love.' His attachment to both his wife and Dawn seems pretty deep and twisted. [Link]
