If it's anything like fan voting in other mediums it's a popularity contest not talent (acting wise that is). Still i'm happy she's getting the fan recognition she deserves as the talented porn performer.
^I know someone will eventually show up to argue about how these awards are chosen and selected. As far as I know, every award in every entertainment industry has its own criteria. For me, she completely deserves this recognition for the work she has put in over the past year or so. As an actress or pornstar, she has been involved in shooting different types of content and has been delivering every role with perfection. If you don't like the fact that she is receiving awards, that's your problem not mine. For me, right now, she is the best at what she does, and I stand by that.
Leana Lovings won the award for Best GG Performer. This tells you everything about the quality of these awards being handed out! LOL! Anyways, Octavia Red truly deserved to win Best Actress, along with Ricky Greenwood for Best Feature Director.
^ Looking at the winners of past awards in different years across different categories I've got very little faith in the objectivity of the decisions. Some, like Octavia, clearly deserve recognition but too often there are obvious, sometimes less high profile people, who are clearly more deserving.

I enjoy Octavia's performances as much as the next person but to suggest that she is somehow the only person to have five star performances with a variety of talent is kind of insulting to the likes of Cherie DeVille, Angela White, Julia Ann, Cherry Kiss, Kenna James, Kenzie Taylor who all boast impressive bodies of work that you don't achieve by being less than stellar when it's go time. Heck, look at Valentina Nappi's resume of work and the awards she's won - there's a number of incredible virtuosos in the industry. I've mentioned that Octavia along with Leana Lovings among others as rising stars but I can't discredit the current heavyweights like Adriana Chechik who pretty much qualifies as a Gold Medal level Olympian of porn. It is possible to adore those currently blazing their own trails without ignoring or discarding those who have left legacies that are untouchable.

Adriana Chechik is on a whole different level, that's like taking Brock Lesnar and Kurt Angle to combine their DNA to create the ultimate no holes barred monster in the bedroom. Adriana could probably outfuck half of the NFL and have them out for an entire season. There's very few people in the industry who come anywhere near that level of insatiable hunger and Valentina Nappi - she is like the female version of Rocco. Never fails to deliver a banger

If you think 2 hours of nonstop fucking with Johnny Sins is wild, wait till you watch Freya Parker talk about fucking some civilian guy presumably for like 6 or 7 hours. ^^I think it's my mistake that I've fallen in love with a performer like Octavia Red. Despite following multiple performers in this industry, I've never experienced this kind of feeling before. As this industry doesn't operate fairly or equally for everyone, these awards are nothing but laughable. Most people don't even care about them. The most laughable one was Leana Loving winning the Best GG Performer award, followed by Lauren Philips' awards. Honestly, these award ceremonies across the industry feel like nothing more than an excuse to get everyone together, have some drinks, enjoy themselves, and then go home. No offence to anyone, but that's just how I see it. Nobody really cares, except for a few loyal fans who continue to support their favourite stars. Nothing more, nothing less.
And it's laughable to compare WWE with this industry, bro! Octavia Red is Brock Lesnar? What nonsense! Or is some performer supposed to be Triple H? The same kind of comparison happened when BG Studios was compared with GG Studios. At this rate, someone will eventually say Angela White is the Messi or David Beckham of this industry.

Hey, you can't help who you fall in love with, the heart wants what it wants. I have/had the same feeling about Laney Grey, I get a little adrenaline rush when I even THINK about her.
He clearly wasn't comparing them, it was an example to put his point across. Now if you're comparing the quality of acting in a porn shoot with that in Hollywood then you really are losing your marbles! The standard of acting is generally laughable and at the top end is at best low B movie! There again it just doesn't matter. They're there primarily to fuck!
The Best Actress Award goes to both non-sexual and sexual encounters in the same category. it hardly matters though

Thanks, mate! I've said what I had to say. I don't need Pitbull, Whysper, or LezTrib-the usual guys-to change my perspective with their opinions and arguments. The thing is, whether we like to admit it or not, we all talk rubbish from time to time, you and me included! I come on here and all the other threads I follow because I genuinely want to know what other people think and enjoy. I've learned a lot. I've discovered girls I didn't know existed and now follow passionately...like Octavia. I'm genuinely more interested in reading what others post than showcasing my own preferences because I already know what I like. There are some unfortunately who are really only interested in pushing their own opinions onto others without reflecting on what others say. In my experience they don't tend to hang around too long!
