Regarding comment about poster stating Jenna was in a relationship with a man.....I was irritated (as a lesbian) as it seemed to imply she was lying, or not authentic.....why then in her porn director podcast she said she was bi but was more attracted to women, that she was interested in males like "once a year".....she's clearly being out there as preferring women but easily could be polyamorous and having a relationship with a guy as well as women! She said she had two girlfriends in real life and has posted photos on her twitter of her girlfriend on a vacation. ^Well it is a sad fact that Lily Cade is the only true goldstar Lesbian in mainstream porn. That poster seemed to be under the mistaken impression that Jenna was one also. I understand the appeal of wanting a super hot lesbian doing G/G only porn, But outside of Lily, the closest you'll get are bisexual performers who go home to men at the end of the day. At least Jenna has had actual girlfriends off camera, since most performers only have sex with women on camera.
I didn't think Jenna was Goldstar! and don't need her to be......but your comment that most women in porn that have sex with women "go home to men at night" does not ring true anymore. With increased representation of lesbian relationships, lesbian marriages and lesbians having children our society is changing. I would say more women in porn are male identified and there are lots of bi women in porn who prioritize men for relationships---but that is partly because porn women have way more opportunities with men asking them out than women asking them out. Many have said they are "shy" with women in real life--don't want to risk the rejection when men are lined up pursuing them. It's a complicated situation but I see more and more porn girls on twitter who want girlfriends, lots of flirting going on and it's not all for show, not all for men's fantasies. And what is most cool is how lesbian porn is being watched by large numbers of girls and women now who get early educations about how great sex is between women and it's increasing the number of teen girls that identify as bi/lesbian. A number of g/g and b/g performers have off camera girlfriends. The majority are bisexual and the majority probably have bf but it isn't rare for a performer to be in a g/g relationship either.

Your mistake is in not realizing how much what women in porn say is to pander to men's fantasies because their Financial Well Being depends on doing so. Men are still spending more of the big bucks for women's sex work. It's hard to get real answers from them because they need the male audience. It's very tricky for them to speak authentically. Its quite a major male trope that (almost All) women need men and can't live without them. Women in the sex industry learn quick how they need to present themselves to men......I'm sure Jenna Sativa is getting "advice" on not alienating the male audience.
^Exactly, it's hard to get real answers, so we have to see how they conduct themselves when not performing or promoting to get glimpse of what they are really like in those rare times that they decide to share. And more often than not, they got a man at home. It is smart to not alienate your fanbase when you are G/G, that's why most of them keep quiet about the fact that they have boyfriends/husbands. Georgina Spelvin was in a lesbian relationship for most of her extensive film career and long after so I don't think it is as recent or rare a development as you assume. If you listen to the Rialto Report podcasts many female performers talk about having serious lesbian relationships, like Barbara Dare for example. I agree that the majority are in relationships with men but not all. And as already mentioned it is simply good sense to say they prefer men whatever the truth of the matter. A bit too broad of a statement there. Maybe 'most' straight men but not all. I find a number of butch lesbians cute and attractive in RL and I'm a 'straight' male.
The only one I like with the butch look is Raven Rockette and it's debatable that she even has it. The day I see a lesbian who looks and acts like Jenna Sativa i'll be impressed but untill then.
^ I think Raven Rockette is pretty feminine with just a touch of tomboy. And sure there are hot butches, but I said stereotypical for a reason. The stereotype is fat, stocky, short hair, masculine. And that's not a look that appeals to (most) straight men. There have always been a handful of performers who have had relationships with women off camera of course, but none that I know of that actually identified as Lesbians. Maybe it's just me, but I don't see how a woman can actively have sex with men and identify as Lesbian at the same time. That's bisexual to me, with a preference for women at most.
