I rented "Blue Collar Fantasies" because I miss Julia Ann. It's been ages since she had something come out. So I hastened this movie to my mailbox and popped it in.

Two problems: First, it took until the beginning of the second scene for me to get a sinking feeling and say to myself: Asshole, you rented an all-girl movie accidentally. Fuck!

Well that's my own fault, obviously. More important, I think Jonathan Morgan has confused "blue-collar" with "hillbilly". The girls aren't playing blue-collar parts, which is what I was expecting: truck drivers, construction workers, things of that nature. The fantasies are: bass fishing, snipe hunting (??!), sports fan, grease monkeys (OK, this one is close, but it's two Daisy Duke-esque girls having sex on a car next to a barn), poker party, and foam wrestling.

I suppose you could say these are supposed to represent the fantasies of a blue-collar guy, but the vignettes are all introduced by Randy Spears playing a brain-dead, rifle-toting hick out in the woods. It's stupid, and it seems misguidedly insulting, at least to this union member.

I don't know what happened... I was such a big fan of Morgan when he was making great movies with Serenity. But I seem to have turned on him like a dog. I've disliked way more of his stuff than I've enjoyed the last couple of years.
