i just bought a Sony VX2000 ( just got it in the mail today thanks for the suggestion Steve Holmes). I just recieved my tota/omni lighting system last week). i had an attorney draw up some model release forms and i have some basic forms as well.

I am currently taking a web design class at a local college and im about 1 month away from completing the course. when im done with that i plan on buying a domian space.

i have pumped alot of my spare money into this, and really wanna see it come together even if i dont see a profit( atleast i tried)and i mdoing it all by myself , but ifound a guy who said he can edit the videos im fooling around with editing programs as well. I have about 7,000.00 left which hopefully i can spend on hiring talent. I will have another 1500 coming in every 2 weeks from other ventures.

what else do I need to buy thanks in advance.

Levitra?...and lots of Cialus/Viagra/etc.
Isn't the VX2100 the current model? What do people think about the Sony HDR-FX1...anyone in pornland own one of these? Any thoughts of those models against the Canon XL2 or XL-H1 (HiDef)?

And would a guy who isn't working in front of a crew really need pills to keep it up? I suppose it is still harder (no pun intended) to do then I might think.

Good luck man. I've dreamt about doing something similar but never will.

Good luck. But lots of hard work is going to be more important.

Hopefully you've thought about what will make your site stand out against the other thousand's of POV sites. (?)

If you're only now learning web design, you may want to spend the cash on a pro designer that can put a site up pronto (or you may be years away from ever seeing your cash flow back).

Adding graphic classes to your curriculum would be smart...and then most importantly, web marketing or traffic skills need to be developed (to steer the gazillion one-handed surfers your way).

Your going to be overwhelmed very soon....

You get a girl who can "blow" your mind, and we'll see about that, lol.
Read the thread title...he's talking about a POV line.

well ive been thinking about the plot. one thing iahve going for me is that I am and look ETHNIC. MOST POV male TALENT SEEMD TO BE WHITE. so thats a niche right there.

Then im thinking of kind of ghettofying my site to appeal to urban viewers and offer my rates at low price( these are jsut ideas. plus if i ghettofy my site and make it look like its ameaturish themed i could probably get away with some bad angles or cameraman work. urban viewer are not as pertained with details such as mainstream viewers . they are more concerned if the chick has a phat ass.

thanks for the web info. my layout is going to basic for awhile.
and im checking into the webmarketing and trafficing soon.

Yeah, but are urban viewers going to pay your requested subscription rate? Are urban viewers going to be sole target audience? If you only rely on one target audience, less the amount of piracy these days...it doesn't seem to allow you a whole lot of leighway between "fun" and "profit".

What does the thread title have to do with my point? Do POV scenes require a large crew? I got the impression that he was a guy looking to run a porn site largely by himself. Sorry if I was way off base.

I'd love to see more black or "ethnic"-looking guys doing POV. Being Black myself, it enhances my immersion that way.

But whatever you do, try to shoot the best stuff possible. Don't try to skimp on quality because you feel it will give your movies a rough edge. There is nothing worse than a badly shot POV movie. It is sooo easy to screw up POV and that is evidencended by the loads of subpar "POV" movies.

Be sure to use plenty of medium shots where we see the girls whole body and don't always rely on super close ups.

And keep in mind that a heavy stock lens might be too "close" for shooting. I know that the Canon XL2 that I've been eyeing for the past 18 months (which I would have had if I didn't lose my job) comes with a stock 2 hex lens...I believe that is far too close for POV work, IIRC.
