Edit to say, the guy in my avatar, Shaun Costello a big director and male star from 1972 onwards did Uber driving too before he died in 2023, so it's a thing apparently. Costello was massively anti Trump though.

I know I shouldn't go too deep into politics on a porn forum, but I think that people blaming Trump are missing the bigger picture. This is the Republican Party. All of them. Every single one of them. If someone remains a member of that party as the party descends deeper and deeper into racism, fascism, misogyny, anti-gay hatred, and just general hatred of anyone they deem to be "them," then that person doesn't get to say that they remain a party member even though they don't support the current policies. It would be like someone in Nazi Germany in 1942 who was a member of the Nazi Party because they like the spiffy uniforms and precision marching. No, you're all in or all out. Conservativism used to be principled, and maybe it still is, but the principles have changed.

Last point, while I have been anti-Republican for a while now, and it's not really meaningful anyway since I'm not an American nor do I live is the US, the Dear Leader said something a few days ago that really sharpened my focus. Saying that NATO military personnel stayed in safe positions in the Afghanistan War isn't just a lie, it's offensive. Deeply offensive. I'm a veteran and while Afghanistan wasn't "my" war, I know many people who served there. Some were injured and some lost colleagues. Canada had losses proportional to the US given that we're about 10% of your population. I've read that the Danes, who have been deemed an enemy now by the Republican Party, had proportional losses beyond those suffered by the US.

Here is something that I can say with 100% certainty to the Dear Leader and his sycophants: no one who served in Afghanistan got a deferment.

I may be a bit biased when talking about Byron's movies though as I think they stand out from so much of the cookie-cutter stuff of the era. I still watch them, and watch them often.
