He's in DC on business & just decided to look me up. The last time I saw him was at our 10-year HS reunion - the last one to which I was invited (it seems that having a male Air Force Captain in dress blues as my spouse did not go over well in my conservative southern home town - I had just checked the "spouse" box on the RSVP card & left the name blank). I don't remember us having spoken since before graduation - we certainly didn't speak at the reunion. None of the men there had anything to say (at least until my handsome 6'2" 185# green-eyed blond consort had whisked me away - then, I understand, they said plenty). Anyway, back to my current situation: Then I was an uncoordinated, short (well, average), skinny nerd/geek whereas now I'm a much older, uncoordinated, short (well, average), fat (let's face it, I'm more than pleasingly plump these days - I'm pregnant; it's twins; & they're overdue by two weeks!) nerd/geek who is totally out of the closet! We're meeting for lunch tomorrow! What do I say to this guy??? To be continued .... ~ GaySatyr Edited by - GaySatyr on Dec 2 2002 [Link] |

They were the captains of the teams or those picked first; I was always last. I've compensated over the years, and adapted, developing my own talents and skills. But I still want what I never had. I wanted to be like them, or at least, be liked by them. Oh, the fantasies! ~ GaySatyr |

Obviously, I'm a masochist & an insecure one at that. I'm sitting here begging for acceptance & attention from someone who never even acknowledged my existence throughout 12 years of being in the same classes during primary & secondary education and feeling toyed with rather than pleased that he called at all. I have no reason to suspect any ulterior motive other than that he remembered I lived in DC and thought he'd touch bases. After all these years, why? Fantasy or nightmare? And I thought I had buried my past so effectively. I guess it's issue management time. C'est la vie. ~ GaySatyr Edited by - GaySatyr on 12/3/2002 11:36:53 AM |

Just because he was popular in high school and you were not ? I'm sure you've had great moments in your life with your current companion, don't fuck it all up because of a high school crush. I'm sure he's great, but I'm sure you're great too... i should be so lucky, lucky lucky lucky |
| GaySatyr Senior Member Half dirty ol' man; half horny ol' goat! 1684 Posts 10/00 | And, Trish, I suspect I scared the hell out of him. I'm thinking now that he wanted me to suggest that we get together that night - which was not possible - and on anticipating lunch that next morning, he couldn't deal with it. And, Vodka, yes, there has been plenty in my life that is good and I don't need to revisit the past to validate the present. However, having the past rear its ugly head does evoke memories and emotions, both bitter & sweet. BTW, there is no one in my life at the moment but I am not so desperate as to seize the past as a poor substitute for a great future. Anyway, here is what happened: He didn't call back (no surprise here) so I decided to have some vicarious fun. I called his office yesterday afternoon, knowing full well that he would not be there. I left my name and number with his secretary. To make a long story short, he called me mid-morning today - from a pay phone, no less! - the jist of the conversation being that maybe it would be a good idea if I never called again. So, post game analysis: Had I taken the bait initially, he might (with the help of a few drinks as an excuse) gone through with some experimentation - or, at least, his concept of whatever he thought I might be good for. However, as I suggested meeting in public for lunch, his sails lost their wind, and figuring that there would be no blowjob (or whatever) from me, he chickened out of the whole encounter. Yes, I suspect he is the one with some very major problems. ~ GaySatyr |
