I suppose this could be moved to the Trading boards but I want to know what people's experiences are in selling used SPECIFICALLY GAY DVDs:

1) Here at ADT;

2) on eBay;

3) Elsewhere. Other venues?

I have sold several on GayDVDEmpire but I had to let the posts stand for months before they sold. Eventually everything sold, though not always at my asking price. The advantage/disadvantage there is you can only sell what they sell for retail BUT on the other hand, they already have the box art, cast, info, etc. posted so there's minimal work involved.

Insights appreciated.

I've sold a few on ebay a while ago, but that was back when you could still use paypal for adult purchases. Now that that's not allowed, it just doesn't seem like it's worth the effort anymore.

I'm to the point where my porn chest has overflown. I'd like to sell some, but more often than not, I can find a friend who is willing to take the junkier pieces of porn I have off my hands to make room for the new stuff.

I know people do well selling straight dvds on adultdvdmarketplace. Has anyone tried selling gay titles there?

Thanks for the thought, Steph. A long time ago they had almost nothing gay but they wrote me and told me a separate gay marketplace was in the works. Now it looks like it's up and running. I'll probably give them a try.

I did it few times back in day and quickly learned that gay stuff got pulled alot. Which was very confusing because it was in the adult section yet they had no problem with playboys under magazines, boggle?

I've sold quite a few on adultdvdmarketplace, and they have a decent gay section.

the cool thing is you can set your price, and if it doesn't sell you can reduce it whenever you want. Real manageable.

I've now listed about 10 on adultdvdmarketplace and we'll see how well or fast they sell. Several are purportedly on people's "want lists." I plan to keep them there for a week to a week and a half then lower the prices if they don't sell. If after 2 price reductions, they don't sell, I'll pull them and try eBay. I'll report back on how it goes.
