I think OF as a cash cow those days are over for most performers. the economy has shrunk, everyday items are more and more expensive. The OF market is flooded with content and there is only so much money to go around. Now they have tiktok and AI to compete with, I started OF for the personal interactions and to support my favorite girls but honestly the quality of the content and the experience has gone into the toilet and as you said the prices have just gone up.

I shoot vids & photos several times every week & update the full length HD videos & high quality photo content every day, and not charging for extra PPV content. Been waiting close to 3 months for custom vid delivery from a well known performer. Whenever I ask about an eta I'm made to feel like a burden lol, like how dare I not understand how valuable her time is. If paid for something online and it took 3 months for delivery I would have the option to cancel the order and get a refund. Never again I'm so over this site.

Biggest issue with OF is the effect its had on video quality/presentation. Professional (and even small) studios invest in lighting kits, lens, skilled camera men etc. A lot of OF is shot on phones with basic lighting and a lack of understanding on things like composition, framing, camera angles etc.
Its also much worse value for the customer. A single PPV video for $30 compared to a monthly subscription to a full site.
There is also a lot of shady selling going on. Performers promising the "naughtiest video you've ever seen" which turn out to be a 5min masturbation video shot on their bathroom mirror.
Performers often market OF as a way to personalty interact with their fans. In reality its about extracting as much money as possible from a fan, before moving into the next one. Paying a subscription to then be met with endless requests to buy PPV from messages which are clearly auto generated.

It's upto the customer to get all the information about a PPV before you purchase it, since OF doesn't have a rule that all PPVs must have previews.
Like if I'm trying to purchase content from a girl who's solo only, then I make sure to ask her what she's doing in it, how long the video is and if she has a trailer/censored preview, to send it.
Hell, if I unlock content that I already unlocked previously, then i even ask her to send me something free to make up for it.

For me it's the access to "DMs" which come to find out aren't even run by the performers themselves which sucks. But being able to give them feedback about the type of content we'd like to see or what we'd like to see them wear sounds great. fyi, if you top up your OF wallet, then you can tip in singles/less than $5 using that instead of CC. if you're using CC, then $5 is the minimum tip amount.
Sadly this is very common. A performer I started following was selling a lesbian scene she shot with Riley Reid. It sounded really good so I paid up. The video was 5mins long, most of which was teasing the viewer with a few kisses and about 30 seconds of oral. I messaged the girl saying I think you have sent me a preview or trailer of the video but it turns out that was the whole thing. I asked if she really met up with Riley and this was all they shot (because in my view it was nothing). She said yes. I can only assume something went wrong behinds the scenes as the whole thing felt like a waste of time and wasn't what they originally planned.

Just a heads up went back on Onlyfans after 3 years hiatus. Some of the accounts I used to use which are still going and are popular are putting their long videos in DMs only which is an issue as these creators are No PPV for around £10-£15 a month.

I have always hated Onlyfans. It has had a very bad effect on our industry. Anyone and their Grandma are able to sign up - what a joke. I have been working (full-time) in the industry now for 21 years as a video actor, producer and model photographer, so I do count my blessings that I am able to continue making sales with my paysite, but I am certain that Onlyfans has had a negative effect on sales. Sales are good, but they used to be much higher.,
Onlyfans never holds its content creators responsible. Even the performers with good track records have turned fishy and borderline scammers. Already, we'd have performers that make you pay a decent sub price to find that there are no nudes and every video is ppv. Meanwhile, they wine on Twitter about how fans want them to return to pro scenes where we can pay one sub price to get all content free for the length of the sub. There's a performer I won't name who hasn't officially retired from pro shoots but rarely does them anymore. Just this week she suddenly upped her base sub price from $10 to $50 and announced that content will remain the same; keep in mind, most of her posts are already non-nude, and all of her videos are ppv starting at $20.
Recently, I tipped on a post the required amount for a video to be sent to the DMs by a performer that has had a good track record until now. The video immediately got dropped in the DMs locked for literally 6x the amount I already tipped and what the video was priced at. When I questioned, I got those bot/hired help responses that "oops that price is wrong the content is worth this much." When you try to question, you get the "oh well since there was a misunderstanding on your part I'll discount it $10," and when you refuse they say "well maybe another day! Xoxo" and leave you with nothing.
That happened again with another OF performer (again, she had been pretty reliable and honest with prices and content until now). Nowhere do they give instructions or updates on "price changes," but I've noticed if you just wait until that random afternoon they send a video to everyone's DMs, it'll be locked at the price listed on their page which I already tipped, but this time it's not 6x the amount like they said.

Apparently, this performer received a number of complaints on her sudden OF subscription price increase to such a high amount because she released a video today about it.
