I've never tried or joined an ONLYFANS and highly doubt I ever will but I totally think it's here to stay. I predict what will happen with OF is the same thing that happened with the mainstream porn biz...it will change and evolve to find what works best for each girl/studio. All this is still too new to think this is what OF will end up being. As time goes on each girl will figure out what content and price structure works best for them. They'll see who's having the most success and try to emulate that business model. If they realize doing anal or IR or more extreme content is more popular and brings in more fans and money, they'll do more of whatever works best. If they see having a lower price point makes them more money overall they'll adjust prices. If it becomes apparent investing in better equipment will make them more money, they'll do it. If they realize putting forth more effort with lighting and setup gets them better sales results it will become the norm for them. As more and more performers get together and compare notes you'll see change. But all this will take time. And the bigger name performers will have to lead the way or some upstart will have to think outside the current box and show them how it's done.

As for how all this affects the current mainstream porn biz...I think it's not the huge deal many see it as. Some or most girls will do both OF and still shoot the studio stuff because both can feed off each other most girls in porn have always had mutliple stream of income anyway. Most performers have a short porn career so seeing them leave the business after a couple of years or so isn't anything new. Now at least there's a good chance of seeing them carry on on OF is a possibility for a fan to continue seeing them if they're interested. It seems like many retired pornstars are coming back or extending their porn career with OF. It seems like for many porn fans here a girl will only hold their interest for a limited time then they're all about the next new girl. Well, mainstream porn will always have a new steady stream of performers coming through it because the chances of making it big with OF are greater if the girl has some sort of mainstream porn exposure. So, just like it's always been there will be a steady stream of new girls in the biz. Every few years there's something that most people are certain will kill off mainstream porn and each time porn evolves and keeps right on going.

^I don't know what the future holds for OF but as long as it's profitable to the owners then it will remain active but the day that stops being the case is when they close up shop and none of those owners will care that many people were using their services to earn a living. I don't think OF is as profitable for the vast majority of the people who use their services as many seem to imply. I am certain it is for a tiny minority who put in hours upon hours of hard work to add content but I doubt most of the models are willing to do that. They mostly surf on name recognition and hope that if they add the odd pic or video and promote the shit out of their OF account then enough people will try it at least once. Especially since join prices are fairly low for most performers OF account but even 5$ becomes a problem when the content isn't worth a penny.

I wish I could believe that many performers buy good video equipment and hire a photographer/camera operator to shoot their content but I don't. All of those things cost money and I don't think most of them want to spend it and those that might simply don't have it. They rely on basic cam cameras and/or their smart phones. It's currently impossible to gauge the impact OF has on the porn industry as a whole because we are still suffering under the restrictions of a global pandemic. I hope that performers going the OF only route don't burn their porn bridges because they may need to cross that bridge once they see their OF profits dwindle.

It's in reality probably a fairly true statement. I don't think it's a secret that most on screen anal isn't the greatest for the female talent. They get put in uncomfortable positions and it can be painful. Thus with the rise of OF, it's likely a position that won't translate well, esp with limited cameras.

That said, porn will adapt, it always does. My guess is you'll see studios start to make OF content for multiple ladies under a one price paywall, or pay for a Brazzers and get all the OF Brazzer contract ladies pages. Gets them subs, money stream, revenue sharing. My further guess is that the ladies will have contracts requiring them to post content to maintain revenue as well as bonus's if they post more and get more viewers.

That said, this also applies to different positions/fetishes, if you could call anal or even tittyfucking fetishes.

It's basically Survival of the Fittest & while some Porn Ladies will prosper like Riley Reid, Adriana Chechik, & Dana Dearmond. A lot of others will totally kill off their Fan Base & Following looking for a quick cash grab. Sadly its the Lower Tier of the Adult porn industry that have polluted that site. I'm very aware of Amateurs in Nebraska, Tennessee, & places like Maryland that are making Good Quality Porn & rightfully so deserve a Market to be rewarded for the Fruits of their Labor.
