What do you all think of DVDs released by Mach 2 Entertainment? Are they worth buying?
I noticed that a lot of the DVDS have double anal in them, and even one (Rough and Ready #1) features triple anal. Is Audrey Hollander the only one performing those acts in the DVDs featuring them?
Is there a website I can visit to see trailers of Mach 2 Entertainment movies, because mach2ent.com doesn’t seem to feature any.
How are their DVDs edited? Are the scenes in each DVD broken down into many chapters, or is it only possible to skip from one scene to the next?
Does the fact that Erodvd sell their movies mean Mach 2 Entertainment releases Ero and Us versions of their DVDs? If so, what are the differences between the 2 versions?

Sorry, I can't help: I just don't know (and I haven't seen any of them myself btw). There is, however, no indication on the website or the box covers that there is a special Euro version and erodvd does carry titles from plenty of other US studios so my strong suspicion would be that there is only one version common to both Europe and the US. Otto Bauer does (very) occassionally post on these boards - so perhaps he will be able to answer your queries (though you may have to wait a while for him to turn up).
Great question, Lost Horizon. Mach2 which is the exclusive, worldwide distributor of all 20 of my "Otto Bauer's Supercore" titles has allowed me to begin editing in 4-channel stereo sound as of mid-November. Since there are some (foreign) buyers who insist on the lower quality 2-channel sound in order to simplify the process of foreign language over-dubs, some of my titles released prior to this month and released overseas will have, in my opinion, less quality sound. Most companies use 2-channel audio and so the difference will not be all that noticable to the average viewer. That is, if we're jerking-off to the scene the sound will be the same quality as anything else out there. However, some of you may have noticed that my titles feature extended tease performances set to hard-edged rock-n-roll. I have gone to great lengths in order to preserve the audio quality of the broadcast-ready music that I select for each girl. "Live and Loaded in Switzerland" is a great example: the sex is awesome and the music soundtrack sounds like a broadcast quality CD that you might purchase at a music store. The DVD features a switch to turn the soundtrack on/off in order that you might not 'be disturbed' while jerking-off if you prefer. Or you can play the Rock-n-roll soundtrack to enjoy the music in its' own right even when not jerking-off. So, I'll sum up this dissertation on sound quality and answer the Q more directly: Other than the sound quality of the teases ALL FOOTAGE IS THE SAME, WORLDWIDE. There are no special"Euro Versions." Therefore, any title bought from any reputable (non-bootlegged) source will have the same material as any other. The DVD's will play worldwide. As of January, only South America and Canada will have 2-channel audio and the rest of the world will enjoy glorious widescreen and Dolby sound. For now, they are all the same. Thanks for watching. I use Grip Dog (Bless You, James, Stephanie and family) for all lighting services and we cut 'in-house.' Dani at Mach2 allows all the freedom I want to capture our brand of upscale hardcore. Just wanted to get Otto's thoughts, if possible, on the editions of his movies sold under the Steroid label by VPS in Germany, such as those sold via Ero DVD, and if the fisting scenes, for example, suggested by the box covers shown on the Ero DVD site do not indicate the existence of different "Euro versions" (apologies for using this term!!). Are customers being misled by these?
More importantly, I'd be interested to know what he and other readers think about the cover artwork which features photographs which appear to have been touched up to make the girls pictured look bruised and beaten. While I fully appreciate that when you license a movie for overseas sales, it's hard to dictate how the movie is subsequently depicted, but given the way Otto describes his perspective on his productions, surely the German licensee is misrpresenting the movies in a rather grotesque way.
You are right. The German liscensee, VNM, is re-touching and re-packaging my product. You will notice that they use 'DBA Supercore.' They are trying to make it appear as though my label 'Supercore' is synonymous. IT IS NOT. VNM is only getting one of four monthly releases because of this issue. If I had my way, I would cancel their license now but, in good time it will go away. The video content is usually (sometimes they insert crap that I didn't even shoot!) the same as any other licensee but, 'Steroid' seems to think that it is a great marketing notion to make girls appear beaten etc. on the box. I am ashamed. The girls in my videos put out a lot of effort and they really let us go the extra mile on them: DPs, 3Ps, deep-throat, DAP, DVP, etc. To make them appear abused is not my idea. The content stands for itself without the touched-up embellishments. After all, the scenes are pretty intense as it is. I don't want to tip my hand but, I am doing several things to tidy up this issue. A year or so ago I began marketing the Supercore label through Mach2 and Mach2 Europe. I am heavily involved with both of these companies. The license agreement with VNM predates my agreements w/ m2 and m2 europe. I had sold some scenes to VNM and they continue to re-cut, re-label, and re-touch old footage that they acquired from me and from several sources outside my influence. Alas, buy Supercore products from Mach2 (US) and Mach2 Europe in order to ensure that you are getting 'the real deal.'
We begin shooting a 'training' series the first week of April. I'm not sure about the final title but we are working with 'Camp Ass: Confessions.' I will book girls who are new to anal and during the course of the video we will instruct the girls on proper anal care, comportment, and most important, elasticity. I will show the viewer the entire process that a girl must learn and practice in order to become an A-nal list performer. Thanks for asking. Otto Bauer
The early titles such as 'Triple Threat' have some flaws that I am not terribly proud of: a poor edit on a handful of early titles allowed for audible direction during the scene and a few other problems. The edits are much more meticulous in the last 6 or 8 months. That said, if you can get past the edit, there are some VERY hardcore moments in Triple Threat 1 and Lips That Lie1. Since I became a director by way of being a performer, I had some transitions to make. Namely, I had to familiarize myself with the technology and so forth in order to express my desires to my technical staff. That was not so smooth a year ago. Since I have an extensive background in music I have brought several people on (including my editor) who I had dealt with in years prior. Technically, we are getting better but, sex-intensity-wise the vids are similar from one to the next. Again, as a performer I feel as though I know which angles work and which do not and I think that girls trust me because of my history as a performer; they let us do many things that they might not be comfortable with for another director who may not have the same 'bedside manner.' Which titles am I particularly proud of? I like the Rough & Ready line as well as the Almost Virgins line for their pace. I like the Anal X-cess and Extreme Violations lines for the intensity and general naughty-ness they portray. Is that too ambiguous? I am proud of the new (final masters being delivered as I write) Live and Loaded in Los Angeles which features an original music soundtrack (Live and Loaded Switzerland was AVN nom for Best Music) and a feature-esque look wherein I play the part of a road manager for a few bands. The movie is Audrey Hollander intensive with public sex and a few surprises (look for Venus in a super nasty GG and 3 on 2 w/ Audrey and 3 guys). The DVD will be authored such that the viewer can pick w/ or w/out soundtrack and (hopefully) a 2nd dvd which will show the teases w/ the soundtrack as music videos for a sort of R/softX 'party' version appropriate for mixed viewing. The DVD's are fine, but the distribution isn't great. I notice that Steve Holmes has moved his show there with Anal Romance 3 and Skeeter and Otto are there, but jeez - Adult DVD Now special their discs off as soon as they can, and Adult DVD today haven't ever stocked them, and man, the cats at Lasers Edge have a very limited range. They don't seem to have an easily-order system on their older titles. I've been aiming to buy EROTIC CABARET for a while but can't find it from any reliable retailers that ship overseas.
On a side note, if they listed the cast of films by FULL NAMES it would help (although looking at recent releases they may well have fixed this issue).
What gives Mach 2? I'm sure fixing this will increase the buzz about your releases.

I gotta give props to Otto...I think he has some great directing skills; but some almost too reminiscent of Skeeter. I wasn't digging the violent puking from Melissa Lauren in Anal Xcess #3, otherwise, this title was pretty damn good; very clear quality, too!
As a matter of fact, I still need to find the first two for addition into the IAFD. It's a shame how the smaller studios get neglected for title reviews, IMO.
