I know there's a better way to do this, but here's the link. http://news.yahoo.com/research-reveals-oral-sex-may-leading-cause-mouth-195800608.html What's a guy to do now....??????
Despite it's sensationalistic and deceptive title, the article says that HPV causes mouth and throat cancer; oral sex is just a leading medium of virus transmission. Interesting info anyway, though. Thanks for posting this, Rod.
There are sooooo many types of oral cancer and sooooo many known causes. I think the most important thing is that HPV is silent and can be deadly and people should be careful with themselves and their partners.

I'll take my chances. I ain't giving up pussy eating!!!
The article ends with "Dr. Maura Gillison, author of the research published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology states that persons who have had six or more partners on whom they've practiced unprotected oral sex are eight times more likely than those who have not had oral sex to develop the HPV-related mouth and throat cancers, reports CBS News. Merck, the pharmaceutical company that manufactures the HPV vaccine, has issued a statement that there are no current plans to research the usefulness of the vaccine against oropharyngeal cancers."
I think the point is to practice safe pussy eating!

^^^^And no female condoms. I like to taste what I'm eating. I live by the quote under my avatar. I don't smoke and I don't drink, so two out of three ain't bad. Edited by - trout bum on 10/6/2011 10:24:55 AM
What if the person you're with has HPV or you have HPV and don't know it? Then that would make even a monogamous relationship not ok! No SSG I'm not trying to imply that's what's going on in your case I'm just saying in general. You just so happen to make the comment Edited by - theDude008 on 10/7/2011 4:37:09 PM
It doesn't garauntee anything but it reduces the risk of any std. I mean even the Gardisil shot won't do shit for someone who already has ther HPV strains it's supposed to gaurd against. But like I said there are so many forms of oral cancer aqnd so many known causes. It's one of the things I had to study for my continuing education at the base. Oral pathology. YUM YUM!

Not saying that I want any cancer, but the survival rates are a bit higher from the oral cancers that HPV causes vs. say, lung cancer or liver cancer. So I'll continue to pass on the cancer sticks and drinking hard liquor in excess, but I will never stop eating pussy!
^ Add having your PSA checked once a year to your list. Prostate cancer is the MOST COMMON form of cancer in men. More than lung cancer. More than liver cancer. More than BREAST CANCER in women. One in Six men will be diagnosed with Prostate Cancer. Look around the table or carpool or water cooler and count.....one in six. Edited by - rod on 10/10/2011 7:10:37 AM

^^Hmmm!...sounds suspicious. Do you think he is using the cunnilingus angle as an excuse because he really contracted it by sucking dick? Janitor quote; You are all class, trout... and this is why I love ADT. Edited by - trout bum on 6/5/2013 1:56:54 PM
^ Not sure how one comes to that conclusion. I read one article that said he was being all macho, after having played Liberace. Like, having a little heteromasculinity crisis. But really, it doesn't take playing a gay character to make a dude do such things.
Didn't Michael Douglas smoke when he was younger? Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought I'd seen him on Streets of SF or early movies where he was puffing cancer sticks or stogies.
