Hi there!

I am located in the Netherlands which' market is dominated by all labels except Vivid and Wicked. Since these studios are my favorites I am unfortunately forced to order them from oversea. I already have ordered about 12 Vivid titles at AdultDVDempire yet their shipping is not the cheapest and so I'm wondering what would be the least expensive alternative when ordering Vivid or Wicked titles. Any hints/help would be greatly appreciated ! :)

Welcome JG. It's difficult to beat LasersEdge for shipping to Europe. At $1.99 for USPS Airmail you can afford to order single titles. If that wasn't enough they also give good service.

JG, check the Dorcel catalog (www.dorcel.com) for the Wicked titles. They are distributing them in Europe.

Thanks for the replies! Both shops look promising. I wonder if they are willing to mention lower values on the package when asked for. Per example: when a title costs $23.99 and I ask them to declare worth on package to be $22; are they going to do this? The latter value marks the dutch customs duties mark from which point I have to pay taxes. Below $22 (€22 actually) any inbound shipment is allowed dutyfree.

I assume the other retailer is in the EU and should not be a problem but LasersEdge do this anyway which is another reason why I use them. Any concerns mail them to make sure. I still tend to restrict orders to a maximum of 2 dvd's though.

I would try a small order first and see how things go.

Charlie, I have one last question: Will LasersEdge include both the amaray case and the artwork? And how long does it take for an order to reach the UK in your case? (that was another question, sorry :)

I am asking this because I noticed that some retailers like Action-DVD.com will only ship the disc's and nothing else. In order to receive the art-work and amaray case one must make a special request which of course involves higher shipping costs. Like the stand-alone shipping isn't high enough already... (quote from their site: "$10.75 for first 8 items plus $0.49 per each additional item" and about the covers: "2.25 for first 8 items plus $0.19 per each additional item"). Ridiculous in my humble opinion...

Laser's Edge ships the DVDs complete with the Amaray cases and artwork. Their current shipping special, which has been running for some time now, and their quality customer service makes them one of the very best north american retailers I have personally bought from, and a lot of other forum members tend to agree..

cheers,

On average my orders arrive within 7 to 10 business days to the UK. LasersEdge ship the original sealed dvd in a padded bag. So you get everything case, artwork etc which is what I prefer anyway.

Thanks for the info! I'll definately give LasersEdge a try. I just hope LE's shipping costs will stay that low for a long time :)

Btw, I buy all my movies from Gamelink because it's free shipping (even to Holland) if you order for $150 or more. They ship the package trough FedEx which means you get the package in two days. Gamelink is the best!
