BigMike is correct, means there are no code restrictions (there are 6 worldwide regions, I think Canada and USA are region 2).

However, Europe uses PAL format on dvds and they will not play on a USA dvd or TV. If you have a worldwide dvd player (like the Sampo DVE-611) you can play any dvd an any tv (plays mp3, vcd's too).

I just placed my first order with Peter at orgazmik.com and one of the dvds I ordered was not in stock and they gave me the option of sending the ones available or waiting for all and saving $7 on shipping. They answer their email promptly and answer questions, but since I am still waitng (maybe 1 to 2 weeks) for the dvds to be sent I cannot state on their reliability.

Out of about 8-12 retailers in Europe I have ordered from, only one did not come through (shipped UPS and they did not send a card to my po box and it was returned and the company did not want to resend) and a couple sent the wrong tapes but later sent the correct ones.

Probably 99% of all "adult " or "xxx " titles are region 0, because then they can be exported all over the world. And I think it is probably easier (and cheaper) to encode them so.

European DVDs, not all, but many of which are made primarily for the European market, are encode in PAL format -- the TV system standard for the majority of Europe -- rather than NTSC, the American format, so your TV and/or DVD player must be multi-standard capable to be able to play (or see) them. DVD-ROMs have less trouble with the standards, since software patches are readily available.

My advice, check the standards of your TV/DVD player before ordering OR check with the DVD retailer, if it doesn't specifically say.

All Marc Dorcel titles have no regional coding and therefor are playable worldwide. BUT - and this is something important for all guys in the US -
Some of the Marc Dorcel titles are in European PAL format. To play them, you either need to watch them on a computer or you will need PAL
capable DVD equipment which is not very common in the US.

Unfortunately Marc Dorcel has changed their policy about PAL/NTSC. In earlier days they have released ALL titles in NTSC format (99.9% of the Europeans can watch NTSC on their equipment).

However since Sony has introduced the Playstation 2 Dorcel (and Private too BTW) were forced to release titles in PAL format. The reason: Unless you have a multistandard TV you cannot watch NTSC on a European PS2.

To bring it to the point: If you are not sure if you can play PAL better ask ORGAZMIK customer service if a desired title still is available in NTSC format.
