I love porn and I am grateful for it in its current state. Not trying to come off like a complainer yet why do you think there is so much overacting in porn and are there any ideas of how to possibly change that? Am I the only one who prefers natural noises and facial expressions?

Humans have mostly lost the ability to pick up on subtly, and as women will tell you, men who grow up on porn are not particularly interested in women getting off. Couple that with severe ADD and sensory receptors so overstimulated that only the most banal outlandishness gets through, and you have the recipe for current porn. It's gotta be intentionally poorly acted or the average viewer will not watch it.
Trust that this is what the audience wants, as it is not changing. If you want to watch people have sex, and act normal as they do it, you will have to spy on your neighbors.
Ok now the somewhat more real advice: your best bet is probably to search something like #realcouple on Manyvids or another independent creators platform. Most of porn, especially studio stuff, is going to look increasingly dumb for a long time.

I freely admit this is a pet peeve of mine and judging by the BTS comments of Elena Koshka and Cherie DeVille, they are both not fans of that as well. There is something to be said for authenticity and that is a huge turn on for me. Probably explains why to this day - the original Taboo movie with Kay Parker remains one of the finest porn movies I have ever seen. The presentation is just absolutely incredible along with the body language.

Well said, Lezzyist. To expand, companies like Mindgeek film a lot of their stuff to work well for ads too. You know, the ones you see in the ad space on a porn site. The girl getting stuck in a dryer, quick cut to her pants getting ripped or pulled off, quick cut to the face that the majority of women make now upon first insertion (the eye-rolling face as I like to call it).
That being said, there is plenty of great porn out there still, just move away from some of the more mainstream stuff. I feel like most Brazzers stuff is a parody of itself, but something like EvilAngel still puts out decent "real" content, IMHO.
Also a plus one for clip sites. Definitely the place to see more realistic sex, and support small creators!
I'm starting to get into the self-created genre. A lot of stuff is merely a copy of the same old formulaic stuff that studio porn has been presenting us for the last several years. But there's some that deviate just enough that the ability to suspend disbelief is still there -- I've seen a few where the girl comes out to a car in a Dunklin Donuts or QuikTrip or Starbuck uniform to deliver a guy an order, and the sex proceeds from there. In a while, the setup will be as old as the student-teacher stuff we still have a lot of. But for now, it's new, and, since it's 10% believable that something like that might happen, more erotic on the margins.
What I think you might see more of going forward is the type of stuff that Bryce Adams puts out, where there is no fourth wall, no script, everything is (or at least appears to be) spontaneous, and, most of all, people talk and have just have fun throughout the scene. That's how I remember sex. There are a few couples out there who are doing the same thing, including inviting other porn stars and content creators to join them.
If there's innovation and reality in porn, it's coming from the content creators, not from mainstream.
I've gone down the rabbit hole with femdom content. What it lacks in nudity (usually) and explicitly sexual acts, it makes up for with feeling personal and connected to the model. I'll take a lady calling me a degenerate and telling me how to jerk off over a disconnected formulaic porn scene any day of the week.

Simple, the talent in porn isn't there because of their acting ability. There are numerous folks who tried to make it mainstream acting and couldn't cut it before switching to porn. Yes, there are some folks in porn who have crossed over and done mainstream but very, very, very few are able to earn a living solely from acting. The best example is probably Sunny Leone. I also know Traci Lords has numerous mainstream credits but I know she'd done other stuff. Going back a ways (and before technology made it easy to check) Sonny Landham had a pretty good run in Hollywood after porn (original predator movie).

^ That was definitely the case years ago, quite a few girls did have a degree of acting ability but for whatever reason just didn't get the breaks needed to get into mainstream work. As they became increasingly desperate the only real means of making any money meant taking their clothes off and for some of them, heading down the slippery slope into hardcore porn. Nowadays a lot of girls seem to be just going straight into porn and any actual acting ability is very much a secondary consideration.
I'm a member of Bryce's Free OF, and I love her attitude. In terms of breaking the fourth wall, does she ever look at the camera and talk dirty to the viewer?
Overacting only takes place in scenes that have a comedy or silly setup. Unfortunately non-scomedy scenes/setups are rare. Every scene has to be silly/comedy

I feel like the overacting is becoming less frequently at least with most of the scenes that I watch. I don't scan a scene to see if someone is overacting but I can usually pick up on it very quickly. Especially if we're talking a woman reaching a crazy orgasm within the first 5-8 minutes. Unless you have a toy involved or you are one of those rare breeds like Rain DeGrey where a warm breeze can make you cum, that's about as unrealistic as you can get.
