Rinse Dream's Party Doll a Go-Go 1 & 2, featuring the lovely Tianna and the sultry Jeanna Fine is apparently out on DVD or due out shortly. I just placed by order. Some of this 2 part film is really, really cool. It has trip-surf music, day glo bikinis and an assortment of 1960s nonsequitors that are delivered either dead-pan or highly animated, making a sort of "kitch collage". Not all the scenes are great though - there are a couple dull moments with someone named Raven and another girl, and neither appear to be interested in each other in the least. But who cares, the rest is good. This is a film I've given to friends as a way of letting them know that porn can be silly. In a good way. I hope the compression (two films on one DVD) is ok. The screen-shots at AdultDVDEmpire seem to show a lot of edge enhancement (not a good sign), but that may just be artifacts from the JPS and not representative of the actual video quality. This is from the days of analogue video so it can't be too good, but hopefully it is as good as the original vhs or maybe better. Thanks VCA, for listening to our request! [Link] |

Thanks. And by the way, it was quite a pleasent and timely experience to hear Wall of Voodoo playing the Cash family hit Ring of Fire during the three way cowgirl scene. Wow. Who knew. The same guy who co-directed the Mexican Radio video and the covers for Call Of The West and Happy Planet along with the video for Do It Again. Which is one of the strangest videos ever!! The movie was Night Dreams and they used Ring Of Fire in a three way lesbian scene. According to Marc, he just used it without asking them. They didn't have a problem with but, they would have liked him to ask. He returned the favor with the video. Bruce and Marc worked on the crew of his last r-rated feature called Dr. Caligari. His other porn film of note is Cafe Flesh, which is sort of anti-porn. It's really disturbing and features scream queen Michelle Bauer going as Pia Snow in the lead role. She claims that a body double was used for the hardcore, but people who were there say that she did it all. Still worth the price of admission. There is a Cafe Flesh 2 not directed by Dream and a couple sequels to Nightdreams, but look for the original. Really bizarre stuff. [Link] |
