I have always resized my oversized pics before uploading here. I use IrfanView (google it), a great free image browser. Nonetheless, I recall the upload form mentioning that if the picture's dimensions are too large, the upload engine will automatically resize it to fit within the board's specifications. So why don't you actually try uploading the raw pic first as is and let the board fix it for you?
