Sure, that's an unavoidable consequence of the fact that there has to be some word to describe a nationality, which is usually derived from the name of the country, which in turn is often derived from the name of the majority or dominant ethnic group ('Dutch' for citizens of the Kingdom of the Netherlands is one of the exceptions).
So a Kurdish citizen of Persia was a Persian until the country received its new official name, Iran, whereupon he became a (Kurdish) Iranian but no longer a Persian.
On the other hand an ethnic Persian (Farsi) was Persian in terms of both ethicity and citizenship before the name change, and became a Persian Iranian after the change.
Happens all the time when political boundaries and/or country names change.
The boundaries of a 'race' depend on a number of conceptual choices. (This article provides some interesting reflections on the topic).
'Middle Eastern' isn't a race either, although most people would expect people from that region to have a certain characteristic appearance.
There is an Arabic language, an Arab culture, and I have little doubt that there is also a concept of an Arab ethnicity or race. Who exactly would be included in this racial identity would depend on the definition and conceptual choices referred to above.
Before the spread of Islam, the Arabic language was a language spoken by some Semitic groups living on the Arabian Peninsula. The spread of the new religion and the new realities of political power led to the spread of the language to an ever larger circle of groups, including non-Semitic ones.
Semitic groups (such as the inhabitants of the Levant region which includes Lebanon and Syria), racially similar to the original Arabs of the Peninsula, which adopted the Arabic language and cultural norms could blend more easily into an Arab ethnic identity than more dissimilar groups.
Although the boundaries are fuzzy, in many Muslim countries 'Arab' is clearly used racially as well as linguistically. In Indonesia, for instance, there are substantial numbers of Indonesian citizens who claim descent from the Prophet Muhammad, which entitles them to call themselves 'Sayyid' and earns them special treatment from other Indonesian Muslims, who clearly regard them as 'Arabs' although most of them are not fluent in Arabic (apart from Qur'an recitation).
Likewise, Morocco has 'Arab' and 'Berber' (or 'Amazight) Moroccans. The 'Arabs' differ from the 'Berbers' not only in vernacular speech (the former speaking Maghribean Arabic dialect, the latter Tarifit, Tamazight or Tachelhit; the official language of Morocco is modern standard Arabic) there are also differences in appearance (the 'Arabs' having more 'Semitic' traits than the Berbers). The Arab speaking groups are historically associated which known immigration waves of Arab tribes into North Africa, e.g. from Yemen.
But Iranian wasn't meant to apply to non-Indo-Aryan people either. As i said, Iranian is the translation of Aryan, so it couldn't apply to a turk or a semite.
not to change the topic or anything; i am enjoying the intellecutal conversation going on...
BUT
ali...you are a moron and stop giving my aim handle out to people and telling them i am going to be places! just because you lurk on here, doesnt mean i dont know who you are.
you are so smart...or did you copy and paste from the internet?
I recently saw Veronica Stone in Girls Playing 3, Frank Bongiorno's awesome new g/g flick. She's got that natural girl-next-door look and she wears glasses throughout her scene, a look which works very well for her. The scene is very long, smoking hot and natural, no toys. Veronica Jett, have you done any scenes w/specs on?
the latter four of the list were released in 2005 or earlier. i have done quite a few internet scenes with my glasses. i will try to dig up the sites for you.
I'm sorry if I sound pedantic. I didn't copy and paste from the internet. My work is related to the study of history, anthropology and linguistics of Southeast Asia, particularly Indonesia and Malaysia. I'm also interested in the Middle East (which has profoundly influenced my main region of interest).

Veronica, I also note (and highly approve of) your wearing of your glasses in your Japanese AV effort "High School Fuck International: USA". Excellent stuff!
No, you did a good job overall. I think it's what was needed. I think Veronica was playing w/you.
Veronica, thx for the suggestions about the specs scenes! I haven't caught one of your scenes yet, maybe b/c I watch alot of g/g stuff and non-mainstream adult. Would love to see you in something for Frank Bongiorno or Girlfriends Films. Maybe w/Veronica Stone, maybe w/both of you in specs -- the ideas keep coming.
Some of the girls on Arabstreethookers are legit (and damn hot!), but others seem indian or suchlike (the series is filmed in South America where there is a large ME community). Re: Persian and Iranian, I am reading a book on the Shia-Sunni divide at the moment, the author is a Shia Sayyed (descendant of Mohammed thru Ali & Fatima) and he refers to himself as Persian.
Iranian's actually prefer, at least from my experiences, being called Persian. Iranian's, as a whole, are very proud of their heritage and history, so it's kind of their way of honoring the history of Persia. Even non-ethnic Iranian's like being called Persian.
Girls from the Middle East don't not do porn because they are too modest or proud. I think that's unfair because it would indicate that girls who do porn are some how weak and have low self esteem. I think porn can be seen as a way of empowering yourself and showing self confidence. There's actually quite a bit of Arab and Iranian porn out there, especially on file sharing sites. I think no matter what culture, if you've got a video camera and horny people they are gonna combine the two at some point. They just have to do it in far less obvious ways due to taboos and the culture.
I think Arab girls in porn though is a genre, kind of like Latinas, that is waiting to be exploited.
Persia De Carlo does her first and only DP that I know of her in Cheating Housewives from Baby Doll.
It's good to see her back doing anal and now DP stuff. Unfortunately for her scene in this DVD they could have hired a monkey as a cameraman and the result would be more watchable. the scene is ruined by constant movement of the camera. horrible. Baby Doll went straight to the bottom of my not to watch company with this crap of technical incompetency.
I'm curious about Leah Jaye. Her name (and link to a photo) showed up on ADT last year in a thread on Indian women. Someone added her name to that list and someone else chimed in to say No she's not Indian she's Middle Eastern in ancestry.
In pix she's a hottie. Any scenes w/her to recommend?
Women from the Middle East and South Asian region are amongst the most beautiful on the planet. There are several half Persian/Arab/Asian girls to my knowledge, but more the merrier. For the record Persia Decarlo is the most beautiful girl in the industry at this moment.
I really like darker complected women (a huge part of why I love latin women). For me, it doesn't matter if someone is persian, south american, italian whatever, if I find them attractive, there you go. There does seem to be a lot of claims within the industry of someone being one culture or race vs. their true heritage (a few Indian videos with Alexis Love come to mind). In most cases, I lay this more at the feet of the company releasing the material, than the actress. In general, who cares really, if someone like Veronica Jett is sold as latin vs. syrian. She is still very attractive and in most cases, the videos that cater to something like latin women are just a collection of beautiful ethnic women having sex. The only time I have a problem is when you take someone like Alexis Love and put her into something like I mentioned above, traditional Indian garb in that case, and say she is Indian. That sort of thing seems more actively deceitful and in addition is so stereotypical as to be a bit offensive. In the case of women of middle eastern descent, I would have to guess that there really aren't tons of them working within the industry and therefore it would be more difficult to have dedicated lines to such a thing which results in them being added to a video with a latin bent. This recently happened with Leah Jaye being featured in Chica Boom, but thankfully, they at least acknowledge on the cover that she is indeed of Persian descent for those that would feel misled. All this said, again I point out, if a women is attractive to you, who really gives a shit if she is one thing or another.

Could also be fitting for the Indian thread ( ~ Indian subcontinent ) , but in this way I am reviving a thread that has seen its last activity during the Ebola pandemic .
I went here searching for Melody Max as I didn´t remember her name , but she wasn´t previously mentioned ... ( strange ) There is probably another similar thread where she is mentioned .
