I've been thinking about getting a DVD-ROM. Are the photos in the photo gallery in dvds extractable as computer files (JPG, TIFF whatever)? I've been wondering how people have been including non-screenshot images in their reviews.

Typically from what I have seen, and that's a lot of DVD pic galleries, they are embedded in the VOBs on the disc. So no not in TIFF or JPG. As for the non-screenshot images, I know the DVSX ones from from their site they offer up for free, but the others I have no idea to be honest. When I do my screen caps they are directly from the movie.

I don't know the answer, but I've been wondering if you can do a screencap of a photogallery slide?

the photo galleries are just the same picture showed for a period of time(I believe most are PNG interlaced). The best way to capture the picture for your review is to just take a screen shot and then change it to the format that you are using for your pics.

Tricia it is weird seems like my The Best of Kelly is not encrypted. Is this common for adult videos not not have CSS encryption or maybe I rented a Bad/bootleg is this possible? One shouldn't be able to see the VIDEO_TS folder and all the VOB and INF files makes for more piracy.

looks like most of all porn dvd's are not copy protected at this time. a few have macrovision on it but css based protection is rarely seen. maybe it depends on your location. in europe most of that stuff is always unencrypted.

Of course you can see this folder both on Encrypted and Non-encrypted DVDs.

You'll know if its encrypted when you try to copy the file to your hard disk. If it is encrypted it won't let you.

The Picture Galleries are also encoded onto the VOBs.. but the best way to get them is just do a screen cap with your dvd software...

But from what I can tell.. most Adult DVDs are not encrypted.
