Hi zaxx--
I can't help you on the first half of your post, but I agree. There are tons of photo collections all over the net, both pay and non-pay, but I've never seen a site designed to help identify all the big names in porn. A who's who gallery would be nice.
As for your side question--it's really easy!  All I did to create those was the following, without the spaces, of course-- : ) and : (
To see all the easy things you can do in a message, click on "faq" (just under the "post reply" link above these messages...) Also, whenever you see a post and wonder "how'd they do that?" just click the tiny "edit" icon above their post to find out...

we have a page with links to many of the porn stars sites. while many are pay sites you can at least put a face with the name:

As for the links page it does get you quite a few of the stars home pages, but I would still like to find one that condenses it into a single site. Any other ideas would be appreciated. Pretty cool huh [Link] |

This is Excalibur's porn star gallery. Unfortunately, you can't get any of the bios or photos without a website membership ($ or free with purchase--Excalibur is an adult retailer). But you can see some tiny thumbnails of most of the porn stars out there...
