Has anyone seen this film? Here's my confusion:

For a long time I wanted to find this film. I have a 1-2 minute preview of it on a different tape before a different feature. Based on that preview, I always wanted to find the movie.

But when I finally got the movie, that scene is not even in the movie!! Actually, most of the film seemed like the "B" takes of the scenes, and many of the scenes from the preview seemed missing or different.

But the one scene I'm talking about which is missing completely is where the bald husband has the brunette maid's shirt off and sucks her bare tits. I don't find anything remotely like that anywhere in this VHS copy of A Piece of American Pie.

Does anyone know why this is?

And more importantly, WHERE I CAN FIND THAT SCENE?

If it was recorded enough to put 2 seconds of it on the preview for the film, what happened to the footage for that scene?

Thanks to anyone with info.

Since there's more than one movie with the name American Pie, I want to clarify that I'm talking about the classic A Piece of American Pie, with Lysa Thatcher and Arcadia Lake.

I am not sure what copy you have, but I can tell you that the sequence you are referring to comes at about the twenty minute mark of the original film--and is not really a scene at all. There is a brief sequence of Mr. Chandler (Aaron Stuart) chasing the maid around the kitchen and then sucking her breasts; this is intercut with the Kitty Shayne/Reynolds scene. But no hard action ever happens with the maid; after a brief breast licking the police come and break things up. Furthermore, I do not recognize the maid as being in anything else I have ever seen from the period (and I have seen almost everything). So what you saw in the preview is about all there is.

About the same time that American Pie was made, a lot of the same people made another film called Exposed ; largely forgotten today, it is a much hotter feature. For Thatcher, the standard titles remain Satisfiers of Alpha Blue and Neon Nights ; her best scenes in feature films are probably the in the aforementioned Exposed , Lasse Braun's American Desire , and For the Love of Pleasure . She also made many scorching SF area loops during the late '70's.

Lazerus, I really appreciate all that info. Also I get a real kick out of your choice of handle, took me a second but I think I get it.

Thing is, the "scene" of Chandler (Stuart) chasing the maid last about 2 seconds on the preview. I'm not kidding. I mean yes he tries to suck her breast but his mouth is on it for less than a second, she smiles and teases him, "No!", and instantly it cuts away. Obviously you're not going to see the resolution in the preview, but in the original full length film wasn't there even a few seconds of follow-up/resolution?? Seems really odd the way it stands in this version, I can't help feeling that it's edited. I do kind of feel robbed of a great scene there.

Thanks for the tips on Exposed, Neon Nights, Desire, and Satisfiers. I guess I didn't know I already had one of her hottest scenes in FLoP, I was assuming there would be MANY more.

Sometimes in the old films, it is hard to fathom the jumpy editing that goes on--today many viewers assume that these things are evidence of cuts, and sometimes this is true--but often it is not. There is a strangely cut scene in Story of Joanna where Terri Hall, after an encounter with Gillis, suddenly is sucking off three men. Someone here suspected a cut--but in fact, the original print looks the same. These were not Hollywood pros (at least most of the time); and there are a lot of amateurish edits in the old films. The sequence you are describing in American Pie LOOKS like something is missing, but unless I find evidence to the contrary (and I have the original VHS release), I am assuming there never was a hardcore scene, or any scene at all there--it was supposed to be a crosscut between the wife upstairs and the husband downstairs, but the husband's scene just never happened.

As far as Lisa is concerned, she made a lot of films, and was almost always good in them, but rarely got a lead. Most of her best early work was with Jesse Adams (the tall, blond SF stud); they shot a few great loops together. Perhaps Summer School and Little Darlings are on DVD now? Arcadia Lake (who apparently came to a bad end) only worked with Edwards and girls; I seem to remember her work in Pachard's Babylon Pink as very good. The third girl in the film, Robin Everett, only made a few films--her Collection loops with a very young Mike Horner are classics.

Don't know about the scene Collector is looking for, but good luck getting hold of a copy of the film. It has long been unavailable, from even the most arcane sources. It has two very big counts against it -- (1) The girls (Lysa Thatcher and Arcadia Lake) are definitely depicted as being high-school age (implied under-18) and (2) they're kidnapped and held against their will, at least until they get to know their kidnappers better -- and they do! Also, a scene between Eric Edwards and Arcadia Lake (although it really is a "tease" scene and Arcadia is obviously willing if you follow the scene closely) plays pretty close to a rape scene. At any rate, it's almost impossible to snag a copy. I've been looking for it myself for quite a while, since I'm a fan of both Lysa and Arcadia. Anybody wanna pull a copy for me? I'd gladly pay expenses, etc!

Greybeard, I have a copy of it. It's REALLY disappointing in my view. There wasn't one memorable scene. The preview of the movie on other vids is much better than the actual movie.

Oops -- my bad! Sorry, but I didn't want to give the impression that I was asking Collector to make a copy -- I _know_ that's a no-no! I was merely inquiring about a "collector-to-collector" sale of the (AFAIK) single, original copy he/she has.
